  2. Asus B760M-A D4 has a combo PS/2, so a good, proper splitter has to work in this case.

  3. You're welcome, is your PS/2 a combo one? Marked with two colours. Sorry if I missed.

  4. I just installed Windows 7 on another old kabylake computer and then simply moved the HDD with this fresh installation to the new one. Try.

  5. Someone gave me a present (old 2013 stock, but totally new sealed in box) Zotac GTX780ti. But display colour quality has decreased when I switched to it. I tried a lot of all the latest Vista drivers from all over the web, but no luck, the colour quality went down a lot, is there any way I can improve the colours again? It looks like it went from 8 to just 6bit colours. The card performs very good, much better than the old Maxwell generation I had before.

  6. I's start with trying to set the full RGB mode. Perhaps something had messed up this setting when you reinstalled the driver.

  7. Check on the website https://browserleaks.com/ssl which TLS protocols and ciphers are supported by ProxHTTPSProxyMII 1.3a! I personally never used it. Therefore, I don't know which TLS protocols and ciphersuites are offered by this old version.

  9. Compared to legacy extensions I unfortunately do. Legacy extensions are able to change the browser interface and web pages. The so called "web" extensions are not.

  11. Hello @WSC4! Do you mean Microsoft Outlook or Outlook Express? Both email clients are very old now and totally unsupported in Windows XP. Therefore, I assume they won't work with most email providers like Gmail and others in these days due to the lack of Oauth2 and other modern security implementations even if a TLS 1.2 connection to these services could be successfully established via ProxHTTPSProxy. My favourite email client for Windows XP is MailNews which works with all my used email services. These more recent email clients come with their own TLS protocols and ciphers which provide TLS 1.2 functionality at least. Using such clients means that ProxHTTPSProxy isn't needed then.

  12. Unfortunate. I would give it a try myself, but I have neither the equipment nor the expertise. I expect Tobin will release an update eventually, and you'll have a 64-bit version then. But he's quite unpredictable as you know.

  13. New gens should have 10bits on HDMI via the 2.0b version, I think starting with 1000 series. I don't know about DVI, perhaps try via Display Port then? I doubt 1030 has it though.

  14. Well, they tell: "you can only use 10 bit color with DirectX applications" https://forums.guru3d.com/threads/how-do-i-force-my-gtx-780-to-display-10bit-color.416641/ The information over the web is rather confusing, I also don't believe it.

  15. "Guilty" as charged, it was me who placed the like to the very helpful post by the member @AstroSkipper, @AstroSkipper catches up with the latest developments like a lightning, both links were working fine, I installed the browser, but deleted it immediately as soon as I discovered it can't work with my paid audio streaming service. Can we now consider the investigation over?

  18. WinRAR 5.61 should definitely work on Windows XP 32-Bit, I shan't attach any links due to the recent very strange attention to my account. Just search for WinRAR 5.61 (Windows XP 32-Bit) yourself, easy to find.

  19. When I posted the links, they were still alive, and I already installed the 32-bit version. But now, I will remove the dead links from my post..

  26. Hi! Can't say much, just tried it, what I noticed so far, the brightness is off, the browser is approx. 15-20 brighter than let's say Brave, it's even brighter than Catsxp. Is it only me? Is it supposed to be so? Thanks for the answer. OS Wind.7 x64

  28. FYI, the new pre-release of Mypal 68.13.0 has also a new default user agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 5.1; rv:78.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/78.0 Mypal/68.13.0. I guess that from now on you can also try extensions whose minversion is 78.0. Of course, these extensions have to be edited regarding the minversion in the file manifest.json. Since this has already worked for uBlock Origin 1.49.2 as I have shown in previous posts, I am hopeful that this will also work for others. Cheers, AstroSkipper

  29. uBlock Origin can now be updated to the version 1.49.2! I changed the minversion in the file manifest.json of uBlock Origin 1.49.2 from 79.0 to 68.0. Doing so it can be installed in the new pre-release of Mypal 68.13.0. Here are two screenshots: As you can see, I already tested uBlock Origin 1.49.2, and it seems to be working properly in the new pre-release of Mypal 68.13.0. The filter lists have been updated flawlessly, and I can't notice any problems. Cheers, AstroSkipper

  30. May be you know why even not 78 but 79 I have overrided minstrictversion to 79 for the fun, and latest ublock 49.2 seems works fine Very good idea! I will also test uBlock Origin 1.49.2 in my installation. If it really works without compatibility problems, that would be a sensation. @feodor2 I tried this method but only changing Services.vc.compare(version, minversion) to Services.vc.compare(79, minversion) didn't work for me. uBlock Origin 1.49.2 couldn't be installed that way. I tried another approach. I changed the minversion in the file manifest.json of uBlock Origin 1.49.2 from 79.0 to 68.0, and doing so it can be installed in your new pre-release of Mypal 68.13.0. Here is a screenshot: I tested uBlock Origin 1.49.2, and it seems to be working properly in your latest Mypal 68.13.0. Cheers, AstroSkipper

  31. @feodor2 I assume you mean this error which occurs when clicking onto the button Settings: Right? In any case, clicking this button leads to this error shown above in the console, and the Connection Settings page can't be opened. The problem starts to occur in your new pre-release of Mypal 68.13.0. I checked the previous pre-release 68.13.0 and the version 68.12.5. Both are working fine. I compared the file subdialogs.js to the old ones and nothing has changed. Unfortunately, I can't find your typo but I am sure you already know where it might be located. Anyway! Just FYI! @feodor2 Thank you very much for the hint! I already had a look into this file (nomen est omen) but without an idea or syntax checker, a superfluous quote is not so easy to find. Anyway! I already fixed it, and now it's working fine here: Greetings from Germany, AstroSkipper

  33. Yes, you're mistaken, it must be your not-so-good English. You couldn't make me "happy" or "unhappy" because you still haven't written a single word in his honour, hence I have no reaction at all. I gave you a generic example/template with the dry English for foreigners.

  35. At least, you could've written something generic, like the russsians who just started to learn English usually do. Here, don't be shy to copy/paste. XPerceniol - was a man of honour, he had a kind soul that was seen in his deep eyes, from the bottom of his heart he wrote his posts, for that we honour him.

  36. From your posts, doesn't look like you actually honouring him, far from it. Your first post here was about legacyfan's spelling mistakes, the second one on Friday, about you, you and you yourself and how you were sad, not about him, not a word, even after my posts.

  37. This topic is not about judging or not , it's about honouring him, is it so hard to understand !?!? And I even said , I hope he comes back, that was not a demand of any kind, aslo legacyfan and me, we never judged his leave .

  38. Thanks! I labelled it due to their messages they have in output. But it can be changed easily. I have to think about it. Anyway, good suggestion! No, the systray icon is not configurable. As I mentioned in my posts before, ProxHTTPSPoxy's systray menu is a synthesis of self-programmed executables and an already existent one. The provided functions corresponding to their labels are generally self-programmed executables and in a very few cases inserted commands. The base structure of the menu is already predetermined. The advantage of this menu is its modular character. Deleting, adding or modifying is no problem and can be done by user either if he is a bit experienced. Toggling ProxHTTPSPoxy's console is controlled by clicking on correspondent menu item. So one left click opens menu, next click executes desired function. Simple and easy. All icons in menu can even be changed by user too.

  39. I'd suggest HWMonitor , even the free (non-extended) version has real time temperature , speed and capacity monitoring . No need to pay 50 Euro for the sentinel for your simple needs. And no installation requred !

  40. You're welcome ! I'm glad you could sort it out . Yes , it's always falling behind . It's also not shownig Western Digital 6tb and up models. The last one it shows is 4tb 2014 models.

  41. jaclaz , that's precisely what I'm talking about . It interferes with any other HDD scanning tools. If he still had the HDD sentinel installed (when he tried HDDscan) it could be the reason , so he needs to completely remove HDD sent. , clean the registry , reboot (important) and then try other tools . Why ? because HDD sentinel uses native windows loggers to perform it's activities (including USB and SATA HDD speed , for example). Also , may want to check this entry : [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\PerfDisk\Performance] "Disable Performance Counters"=dword:00000000 It's not tied to the temps though . And I'm still sure it's the famous sentinel's ancient bug .
    1 point
  42. This has nothing to do with Vista and/or drivers . It's a well known HDD sentinel bug , just look at their forums. Try to reinstall it . And remove the remnants before you install it again.
