Update KB4501226 most likely was posted by mistake, out of habit. It was available within a day, after publication, so many people managed to download it. But due to the fact that the update has hidden the directory is periodically buggy and shows it again. It can still be downloaded by direct link from this message:3 points

@FranceBB I git cloned https://github.com/qyot27/ffms2_cplugin.git, patched a couple of files in order for compilation-errors to go away, made the library and executable and packed the necessary files. You could try ffm2-2.18-736-g43dc804_avs+vsp-win32-xpmod-sse.7z, with the emphasis on "try". Although the compilation-process went fine, I'm getting an application error pop-up "The instruction at "0x6ef94386" referenced memory at "0x00000000". The memory could not be "written"." the moment I try to open an avs-file like this... FFVideoSource("<full-path-random-video>") ...with FFmpeg. This probably means there's SSE2 code in FFMS2 (not sure though). I'm not a C-coder, so unless someone could point me to the exact cause, I'm afraid this is all I could do. 'ffmsindex.exe' and "FFAudioSource()" did work fine during my tests though.2 points

Hi everyone, My name is zilchfox, it's a pleasure to meet y'all. I'm a 31 year old Canadian expat living in Atlanta, GA, and I found this place thanks to checking out nLite. My daily driver is actually an iMac (I know, I know... I am totally on the Apple ecosystem at this point), but I have been collecting and restoring old/vintage computers anywhere between Windows 95 - Windows 7 era. I just love tinkering with old Windows PCs, and I've been collecting a ton of laptops, since I wasn't allowed to have one as a kid. For Windows software, I've also a fairly large collection, check out the photo attached! Windows 95, Windows NT, and Windows 2000 Server are all sealed, never opened. Windows 98 WAS sealed...but I actually needed it and opened it a few weeks ago, but it's still mint! Same with Windows XP Pro. Speaking of, Windows XP Professional is my favorite Windows OS, however. I have a Dell Inspiron 6000 currently running Windows XP Professional x86, which is currently my go-to laptop when I need one (I don't have a modern laptop, lol). It's been so long since I've contributed to a forum of any kind, and just being here already feels all sorts of nostalgic to me. Thanks guys!1 point

I forgot about this thread! Last November, I was riding in a taxi in midtown Manhattan, NY (I don't live there; I was visiting from California), and came across this peculiar sight on the video screen: I'm pretty sure that whatever's driving the display is running XP, judging by the styling of the dialog box (all later versions look different). What makes it puzzling to me is that the taxi couldn't have been more than a couple years old, so why didn't they go with a newer system? c1 point

Keep a name that relates to either Firefox or Moon to accurately describe what the core of it really is. There already are too many flavors of Firefox that don't differ that much. Avoid wrong or silly NSFW associations: "bird" is a mail client and RT is Microsoft's OS for portables. Maybe Moon Whistler, but not Whistler alone as that is the whole of Windows.1 point
