  3. Here's my experience with AMD Ryzen CPUs on Vista: they work great! There are no random BSOD or services not starting like Haswell or above. USB 3.x drivers for Windows 7 work just fine on Vista, but you can't slipstream them into the installation, because they are not signed for NT 6.0. You'll need to have a PS/2 keyboard at hand (you only really need the keyboard). A few drivers you should not install, because they do not work: AMD PCI AMD GPIO (this one will make your system unbootable!) Everything else works just fine. I've used a MSI B350 PC Mate motherboard with 16GB of DDR4 RAM. Had to enable legacy USB, enable CSM and disable Secure Boot. After that, I was able to boot Vista in UEFI. Hope this (really late) post helps, since you've asked ages ago @WinClient5270

  4. I was using the Qdownloader site. It seems to work most of the time, without a plugin.

  5. Hello, after installing all the updates to day on MU, I got the qt5core.dll error when stating Malwarebytes 3.5.1. I found that the culprit is the KB4134651 update. After removing it (Malwarebytes statred working again) and MU displays the following updates to install: High-priority updates Microsoft Windows XP Embedded -KB4339291, KB4134651 (7.2018), KB4134651 (5.2018), KB4089453 Optional software updates Microsoft Windows XP Embedded - KB4039111 Is there a work around to be up to date with the updates and have Malwarebytes working at the same time?

  6. It's possible that as of 2008, when these hotfixes were released, a Server 2003 SP3 and XP SP4 were planned, but ultimately were never released. While installing Windows 2000 one time, I noticed that the Security Rollup Package (SRP) says "SP5" at the top of the dialog window. Of course, we know Windows 2000 Service Pack 5 was never released; it became the rollup:

  7. Using NM28XP -- Okay, try this: For (Browser Address URL) "about:config" Type (Top Search Box) "media." -- (Note 'period' on the end) It should list this 'setting' at top: "media.autoplay.enabled" So, set this (above) to "true" for 'autoplay' immediate startup. I had it set to "false" because I like it that way. I suspect that I changed it to that (false) without recalling it. Anyway, the 'toggle' aspect of this setting works with YOUTUBE here. I assume that it impacts (Adobe) FLASH media (and others) too. I should have thought to find and check this setting sooner.

  9. An Australian teenager pleaded guilty to charges of hacking into Apple's secure systems and said that he was a fan of the technology giant and hoped to work there one day, the media reported. The 16-year-old boy is facing criminal charges after the technology giant called in the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI). "The teen, who cannot be named for legal reasons, broke into Apple's mainframe from his suburban home on multiple occasions over a year because he was such a fan of the company, according to his lawyer," The Age reported late on Thursday. The teenager, who studies in a private school, reportedly stored the saved information in a folder titled "hacky hack hack". He was able to access authorized keys, view customer accounts and download 90 GB of secure files before being caught. "The teen's defence lawyer said his client had become so well known in the international hacking community that even mentioning the case in detail could expose him to risk," the report added. The magistrate has acknowledged the teenager's guilty plea and he is set to be sentenced next month due to the "complexities" of the case. Isn't it amazing?
