  2. This one is easier to use. But also doesn't let me use an EQ in conjuction with it. https://chromewebstore.google.com/detail/decibel-limiter/jhdflfacjalpcajleapijmclnbilnjlh
  3. This seems to be a great replacement for Audio Compressor. Audio Compressor was "always on" but this one has to be "turned on" whenever you load a web site. I haven't yet looked at the code to see if it can be configured to turn itself on. This one doesn't let me use an EQ in conjuction with it. https://chromewebstore.google.com/detail/audio-limiter-pro/nbegknfbjphdkfigiepacdkichbmdaof

  5. Seeking suggestions to improve video streaming experience. 1) ability to save presets specific to Computer A's speakers, Computer B's speakers, and Computer C's speakers 2) ability to prevent things like action movie LOUD scenes from being TOO LOUD 3) should work on multiple web sites (ie, not YouTube-only types of extensions) My current config uses two extensions that work decent for the most part. But one of the two extensions (Audio Compressor) has a tendency to LOCK UP (video freezes and/or stutters) and needs disabled/re-enabled quite frequently. Re-enabling also requires the streaming video web site to be reloaded. Currently using Audio Compressor version 0.1.28 in conjunction with Ears Audio Toolkit version 1.3.12. https://chromewebstore.google.com/detail/audio-compressor/daomidlfpcfjchpalpjogmnhabkekbnn?hl=en https://chromewebstore.google.com/detail/Ears: Bass Boost%2C EQ Any Audio!/nfdfiepdkbnoanddpianalelglmfooik
  6. yesterday i can successfully boot my 98 from nvme! 0) (early) i convert my nvme gpt disk with installed win10 to mbr type, w/o data loss. unfortunatelly, i use already existed win10 recovery partition for new 98 copy - format as fat32 lba 545 mb at end of disk. it was wrong. 1) (yesterday) i move win10 ntfs part at disk end (cant delete it - there is value data), make new fat32 CHS part 500 mb at disk begin, format it and copy existed 98 folder from other disk. 2) at start i forget copy new build of SweetLow's driver, so use build w/o vsd, and after boot get many bsods "write error on disk C:" and garbage in file system. after SweetLow told about, i update driver, and get properly work 98 in protected mode. also verify booting in safe mode - here also all ok. now i will try grow this partition to 8 and then to 20 gb, for new tests.
  7. i think, it is just stupid typo in code: they want "eat less cpu time scanning when user active", but get reversed.
  8. yes, new build now prodice sounds on line out... garbled exactly as i make some tests with SoundCheck (req KernelEx), and sometimes get slightly stuttered, almost pure sound, but this result was very unstable.
  9. Disregard. Based on bank account login, I will need to wait until Supermium releases a v140 or higher. But even then, I also forgot that Supermium will never be able to work with Widevine on Netflix (not a showstopper, per se).
  10. So I admittedly find myself fully rethinking Supermium on MODERN HARDWARE. We tend to think of forks like Supermium existing only for the sake of "keeping XP alive" or for "ancient hardware". I "was" a member of both! We all know the type, frowning upon friends and family using anything but XP and using our ancient hardware as somewhat of a "badge of honor". Again, we all know the type, we kind of saw ourselves as "better than" folks with newer computers and "better than" folks that use Win10 or Win11. I have *zero* regrets in "finally" upgrading to a HEAVILY TWEAKED *ancient* and no-longer-supported version of Win10. So I saw things like Supermium as "not for me" (mainly due to *horrific* experiences with Supermium when I was on *ancient hardware*, so why use it on modern hardware?). That changed yesterday... My bank account "forced me" to upgrade from Official Chrome v136 to Official Chrome v140 back in November. The force was actually several months prior to November. November was just when I finally realized that an "older browser" was the ROOT CAUSE for login "extra steps". As of today, I will be running Supermium as my DEFAULT. At least for the sake of testing must-have web sites (bank account, pay my utility bills, et cetera). I don't know (yet) if v138 will be "new enough" for my bank account login. So why "downgrade" when v140 works for everything I need a web browser for? Well, and unsure why it took so long, but it only hit my v140 *yesterday*. I had a "screen_ai" folder suddenly appear in my browser profile! Some 106MB "extension" that Chrome added "under the radar"! I caught it during download and before "install", but just seeing it sneak in, well, basically p#ss#s me off! Reading into what it "does" is kind of scary. I can see SUPERMIUM (and maybe other forks "targeting" XP / 7) as a route of preventing this "under the radar" AI [BS].
  11. Windows Portable Devices Media Transfer Protocol File: WPDMTP_Addon.7z (Dropbox) File: WPDMTP_Addon.7z (Google Drive) MD5: 597A647D0F05C4705F037D02636F5C25 SHA-1: 36B595D56A50F4895EA2F8D058EB1E8D7E0A746A File Size: 2454 KB Build Date: 03/01/2026 This addon will enable the exposure of a portable device's file system in Explorer and permit the transfer of media files between a PC and a portable device like a camera, smartphone and portable media players. It is installed at the same time as WMP11, so this addon is only required if you have WMP9, have removed WMP with an addon or use Windows 2003. I have not been able to test it because Windows will not recognize my Windows phone, possibly because my PC does not have USB 3.0 ports, so please let me know how you get on with it. The MTP driver should install automatically as soon as the portable device is plugged in, but to ensure that you do not get the Found New Hardware wizard delete wcid.inf if you have used used my XPSP3_QFE_UpdatePack for Windows XP Post-SP3.
  12. The same is here. And sound is on Line In instead of Line Out. Highly unlikely. As I said my first system with Realtek ALC236 has exactly the same config, but sounds good.
  13. Sorry, but I could not locate App Readiness service. I'm using Polish language version, so the names of system services are not in English.
  14. [Duplicate Post]
  15. Somewhat similar issue in WinPE with Proper 11 theme. an extra address/nav bar is added to the window with non-functional controls. Win10 ribbon theme works fine. `
  16. You need to escape percent signs in the URL proper. eg. KeePass%202.x/2.60 as KeePass#$p202.x/2.60 otherwise the engine is evaluating your variable %202.x/% (or in the case of the attached WebGet log %202.x/2.60/KeePass-2.60.zip",%)which will be empty and result in an invalid URL. FYI PhoenixPE has a wrapper for Aria (https://github.com/PhoenixPE/PhoenixPE/wiki/WebGetEx)
  17. Hopefully. It looks like a relatively simple issue that's common when PHP is updated. Unfortunately, I've been trying to get in touch with galapo for over a month now (even before the site went down there were warning signs) and haven't had any luck. I'm sure as soon as he gets back from whatever he is doing it will be sorted out.
  18. It was good content. Maybe if you pasted into a .txt editor THEN copy-paste from the .txt editor into MSFN's post-editor-box? ie, if you copied from a web site could be why it pasted the way it did.
  19. I am sorry, I have no idea how that became a link. I have delete most of it which seems to have gotten rid of that.
  20. So for anyone else that finds this thread, thanks to ABCDEFG finding the Italian version of the installer, and through comparing them side-by-side, I've worked out that the installer contained in the WinMe folder on the IntelliType Pro 1.2 CD on the Internet Archive is the same as the installer that would have been contained in the itp12eng.exe self-extracting archive, albeit with only the ENG folder, and only "0009" in the setupdir folder (only the English language program files and _Setup.dll). All other files appear to be exactly the same. I tested the Italian version of the installer on Windows Me and even the downloadable versions have the Internet Explorer check. If IE 6.0 is installed, setup incorrectly prompts the user to upgrade to Internet Explorer 5. Choosing to install Internet Explorer during setup then displays the same warning about inserting the IntelliType Pro 1.2 CD as the CD-ROM distributed version does. So it appears Microsoft just stripped the CD-ROM version installer down to each individual language, packed it in a self-extracting WinZip executable, and sent it out the door. While it would be good to find itp12eng.exe anyway, just for the sake of completion, at least we know the IntelliType Pro v1.2 software for Windows Millennium Edition isn't lost.
  21. Um, why did you post it all as a *LINK* to https://www.wireless-driver.com/ralink-rt2500-rt256x-rt266x-wireless-windows-98-me-2000-xp-drivers/ ???
  22. Yesterday
  23. Just checked, follow with email notification is enabled. Can't seem to find any email notification from July or your most recent reply though, strange because I know I've definitely received mail notifications from here before. That said, given the thread was initially posted almost two years ago, I suppose I figured after the first twelve months had passed that the information was likely lost and it would be unlikely to get any further responses. So colour me surprised - thanks for the information in any case, it's very much appreciated.
  24. Forget about the Panda support! I reported the issue twice. The second report was quite detailed. No response so far. Not even an acknowledgement of receipt or the opening of a support ticket. Very disappointing! Although Panda Antivirus Free 21.01.00 is running on Windows XP better than the latest version, even this version seems to have problems. And once again, the culprit is the process PSANHost.exe which yesterday suddenly started to crash from time to time for whatever reason. I'm currently trying to determine the reason for these crashes. This PSANHost.exe is slowly getting on my nerves. Either I solve the problem or Panda Antivirus will be completely removed from my system. The Panda support seems to be non-existent.
  25. As a fanatical MyPal user the first thing I have to do is thank Feodore for keeping Win XP practical for daily use So THANK YOU!I'f (The rest had problems so I have deleted it)
  26. Very blurry, eye killing, over aliased, pixelated fonts, super hard to read.
  27. As part of my work on ytBATCH, I have investigated many ffmpeg releases that are supposed to be compatible with Windows XP. These include, for example, the releases from @Reino, sherpya and @autodidact. The relatively new ones from @Reino and @autodidact work well with YouTube. But when it comes to TV streams, it's a completely different story. Their latest ones in particular have considerable problems with TV stream URLs. On my old Windows XP computer, negative performance changes are immediately apparent. FFmpeg 3.4.1 from 2017 is too old and can no longer access TV stream addresses. The newer releases 7.1 from 2024 and 8.1 from 2025 require much more CPU power than before. They are therefore problematic for older, weak Windows XP computers. That's why I still have been using ffmpeg releases from 2019 for TV stream addresses.
  28. Agreed. "Liked".
