  3. The MESA LLVM uses it, or its just a default (at compile time) included dependency? I am glad the 2D VESA doesn't need it. That would be scary.
  4. I already tried that for XP32/64 with NVMe disk and UEFI boot. And it worked. It seems Vista SP1 32-bit partmgr.sys and disk.sys should be backported for Win2000. XP32 ones has 2 TB limit and can corrupt data above 1 TB written. Buıt Vista SP1 32-bit ones don't have 2 TB limit and no corruption (not 100% sure but I didn't hear any corruption from anyone).

  6. Pure VESA 2D driver does not use WS2.
  7. Windows File Index – Find What You Need Without Downloading the Whole ISO Need just one file from Windows but don’t want to download the entire ISO? Use the Windows File Index – a powerful searchable list of Windows system files. Just press Ctrl + F, type what you're looking for (like notepad.exe, calc.dll, or a specific driver), and instantly see where it’s located and what version it belongs to. Click to download. It’s a fast, easy way to grab exactly what you need—no full ISO required. Perfect for troubleshooting, patching, or tinkering without the bloat. Links to different OS below. May take a few minutes to load the index. 8. Its not a problem, just a curiosity, but I noticed the dependency on the Winsock 2 Dll. Does it actually use Winsock, or is that just a default dependency from the building tool chain's configuration?
  9. Well, r3dfox comes with SSUAO (site-specific-user-agent-override) support , so I bet you can set one just for chase.com and be done with (i.e., it won't affect other domains/sites) : general.useragent.override.chase.com;"Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 10.0; Win64; x64; rv:128.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/128.0" FWIW, "128.0" is the previous ESR version, currently at v128.13.0, which is supported for a month or two more , to be EoS'ed with v128.14.0; it's highly probable by that time that Chase's minimum requirements will get upped to "140.0" , the current ESR branch (now in v140.1.0) ...
  10. It would be better if custom taskbar module can add a switch to choose whether the battery icon and network icon should be merged or not. When open the enhanced task bar, icon would be torn apart while official task bar would merge them as a bigger button.
  11. If you`re using windows 11, you can just turn on the kill program option in developer setting in windows official settings.
  12. There are so many unofficial update packs floating around, some dating back to 2015–2018. But in 2025, which specific *combinations* are still considered safe and useful? For example: - Is U98SESP3 still the go-to base? - Any updated KernelEx forks? - Is 98SE2ME worth it on real hardware in 2025? Also, curious if anyone here has tested these on modern emulators (like 86Box or DOSBox-X) with good compatibility. Would love to consolidate a working list that balances stability and modern compatibility. Among Us Online
  13. "Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 10.0; Win64; x64; rv:129.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/129.0" works for me on Chase. I literally turn it on for Chase and then immediately switch it off when I leave as it causes little authentication related problems elsewhere.* *Chase is blocking me on Opera 95, Win7. I haven't tried to do this with this browser or in XP in a long time.

  16. so just using the right paragon driver solved it up ? thats good news that the /pae question related to that problem would be finally closed
  17. Suggestion: This separator looks much better when it is just 1 line.

  20. alright upstream has a follow-up for this as well.
  21. Hi there, not sure where to ask this stuff nowadays so I will try here I wanted to install HomeAsistant 2025.1.4 from here: https://github.com/AlexxIT/HassWP/releases/tag/v2025.1.4 after using the windows7 python version from here: https://github.com/adang1345/PythonWin7/blob/master/3.13.1/python.3.13.1.nupkg I thought I am all set, but, sadly HomeAsistant requres a newer version of OpenSSL according to logs ``` ERROR: pip's dependency resolver does not currently take into account all the pa ckages that are installed. This behaviour is the source of the following depende ncy conflicts. hass-nabucasa 0.87.0 requires cryptography>=42.0.0, but you have cryptography 38 .0.4 which is incompatible. homeassistant 2025.1.4 requires cryptography==44.0.0, but you have cryptography 38.0.4 which is incompatible. homeassistant 2025.1.4 requires pyOpenSSL==24.3.0, but you have pyopenssl 19.0.0 which is incompatible. ``` after installing it pip install pyopenssl==24.3 as well as pip install cryptography==4.0.0 ``` the thing doesn't run due to some missing procedure ``` Traceback (most recent call last): File "<frozen runpy>", line 198, in _run_module_as_main File "<frozen runpy>", line 88, in _run_code File "F:\HomeAsistent\HassWP_2025.1.4\python\Lib\site-packages\hass_win\__main__.py", line 9, in <module> from homeassistant import __main__, requirements, setup File "F:\HomeAsistent\HassWP_2025.1.4\python\Lib\site-packages\homeassistant\__main__.py", line 12, in <module> from .backup_restore import restore_backup File "F:\HomeAsistent\HassWP_2025.1.4\python\Lib\site-packages\homeassistant\backup_restore.py", line 16, in <module> import securetar File "F:\HomeAsistent\HassWP_2025.1.4\python\Lib\site-packages\securetar\__init__.py", line 16, in <module> from cryptography.hazmat.primitives import padding File "F:\HomeAsistent\HassWP_2025.1.4\python\Lib\site-packages\cryptography\hazmat\primitives\padding.py", line 11, in <module> from cryptography.exceptions import AlreadyFinalized File "F:\HomeAsistent\HassWP_2025.1.4\python\Lib\site-packages\cryptography\exceptions.py", line 9, in <module> from cryptography.hazmat.bindings._rust import exceptions as rust_exceptions ImportError: DLL load failed while importing _rust: The specified procedure could not be found. ``` not even sure what to do to fix this, thats realy deep down I believe I need to somehow fix rust, but not sure Hopefully someone has some idea Thanks
  22. The StartAllBack website says direct credit card payment with Gumroad. Does your credit card accept Gumroad? When I tried to renew my cell phone online last year, my credit card did not accept their means of processing, and I had to renew over the phone,. They used a different method this year, and it worked online. Your choices may be to either come to terms with PayPal, or to do without StartAllBack.
  23. I have i Windows Flag icon I used in OpenShell (see enclosed image). When I try to use this from StartAllBack it looks OK in the settings, but it is scaled all wrong in the taskbar (see enclosed image). Why is this? I there a way to fix this? PS! I tried using a blank icon in StartAllBack and settings the icon in OpenShell instead, but that caused another strange error (the taskbar shifting to the left each time a tray icon appeared or disappeard, so I had to turn of "replace start icon" in openShell - see 2nd enclosed image). Have included the "Windows flag" start menu icon as 3rd image.
  24. i dont think that will work in this case you litterally asking to write a driver for that specific device, without having knowledge of that device (like that company that created it has) if its not a open source driver sounds a close to mission impossible to me porting an existing driver is not easy either you are likely to create all the missing functions that win8 driver lacks in windows xp - what actually is a lot of work also you could ask their driver devlopers if they are doing that - but normally they ignore a such request
  25. This is NOT an HDA driver. Cirrus Logic requires its own driver.
  26. Sorry. I haven't tried booting an NT 5.x operating system from a GPT disk. It's best that you follow this information... https://msfn.org/board/topic/181911-read-gpt-hard-disk-on-windows-xp-solved/page/31/#findComment-1279892
  27. One more clue, this crashing short after i hear some sound card initialization sound.. So its probably in driver inicialization phase, but in otherhard its strange that there is not ntbtlog.txt without is enabled and i would expect that it would be created when drive loading phase started..
