prathapml Posted September 17, 2004 Posted September 17, 2004 Your post should be this way, to get that name and time in the quote:
blah blah blah
dhoffman_98 Posted September 17, 2004 Posted September 17, 2004 With SP2 out doesn't that make all these hotfixes obsolete? B) Including MDAC?Some people haven't moved to SP2 yet, and this site USED to be a great resource for when new SP1 hotfixes came out.I'm a little dissapointed that this forum isn't still kept up to date, but I guess the people who were moderating it all moved on to SP2 now.

Alanoll Posted September 20, 2004 Posted September 20, 2004 I'm a little dissapointed that this forum isn't still kept up to date, but I guess the people who were moderating it all moved on to SP2 now.Get me a list of the files/URLs and I'll add them to the first post. However, the most common users are moving to SP2, so it seemed appropriate to move on to SP2. If you give me the links and such, I'll also edit the first post in the new Hotfix thread ot link back to this one.
straffin Posted September 20, 2004 Posted September 20, 2004 However, the most common users are moving to SP2, so it seemed appropriate to move on to SP2.I beg to differ here... most of the corporate and educational people I know (myself included) are avoiding SP2 until vendors have a chance to update the software that it breaks. We probably will not be installing SP2 until some time in 2005.I'll post what I can in the way of hotfixes necessary for "XP SP1 Post-SP2"... maybe today...
ailean Posted September 20, 2004 Posted September 20, 2004 Seconded! We're holding back SP2 till Dec time inorder to test/wait for fixes for the 300+ applications we run. Certainly using SP2 on personal machines but then I don't really need an unattended method for 2-3 installs per year, it's the 3000+/year at work that it comes in handy! My recent ones are;IE6.0sp1-KB823353-x86-ENU.exeIE6.0sp1-KB867801-x86-ENU.exeWindowsXP-KB833987-x86-ENU.EXEWindowsXP-KB835732-x86-ENU.EXEWindowsXP-KB842773-v2-x86-enu.exeWindowsXP-KB883357-x86-enu.exeNot sure how many are missing from this thread but I'd like to see this thread kept active and maybe even sticky till the new year for us lowly corp/edu types.
