I wonder how much $ it will cost in my electicity bill if I leave my pc on for a month without shutting it down? And does it helps to save electicity/energy if I off my monitor when I'm away/sleeping? I'm curious to know :) .. thanks..

My pc:

2.0 Ghz

256 DDRAM

MSI motherboard

Geforce2 MX400

I have 2 to 4 PC's on 24/7. The cost of doing this is small compared to running the air conditioning. For me it is not worth worrying about..........

I think it costs something like 20 cents to turn a light on, but 2cents per hour to keep it running.

In comparasin to your computer, its more cost effective to keep it running, rather than constantly booting up/shutting down. Its also better for your computer's innards too :)

Yeah, I live in California. The prices here are insane. My current electricity bill ranges anywhere from $150-$300.

Of course, It's been really hot here lately...
