August 31, 200322 yr I wonder how much $ it will cost in my electicity bill if I leave my pc on for a month without shutting it down? And does it helps to save electicity/energy if I off my monitor when I'm away/sleeping? I'm curious to know .. thanks..My pc:2.0 Ghz256 DDRAMMSI motherboardGeforce2 MX400
August 31, 200322 yr I have 2 to 4 PC's on 24/7. The cost of doing this is small compared to running the air conditioning. For me it is not worth worrying about..........

September 1, 200322 yr I think it costs something like 20 cents to turn a light on, but 2cents per hour to keep it running. In comparasin to your computer, its more cost effective to keep it running, rather than constantly booting up/shutting down. Its also better for your computer's innards too
