May I please have my name changed from

SearanoX ==> !Tommy

Thanks much!

Unfortunately, user names can only contain the characters a-z, A-Z, and 0-9. Special characters (like an exclamation point) aren't allowed by the forum software.

It doesn't look like just plain Tommy has been taken, can you switch my name to that if possible? :)

Err... @xper: AFAIK. he's right. So, would you please change SearanoX ==> Tommy ?

I would like to have my name changed to Octopuss. That name is taken by a banned account right now.

Maybe its just me, but I wouldn't want to be associated with a username that has been banned.

It is my own OLD username which was banned several years ago.

If it's technically impossible or too time consuming, I'm fine with it. Just let me know. Cheers.

I'd just like to add one comment. If you used [ member= ] tags and the user has changed his or her name then those tags display nothing. I think that it would be nice if they could automatically be redirected to the new name. Is such a function difficult to implement?

What I mean is that I used tags like [ member=SearanoX ] and now he changed his username to "Tommy" but those tags still point to "SearanoX", thus nothing is displayed.

You can check this post to see what I'm talking about.

Some software support a different display name and login name. I think it is here but is disabled. The unfortunate problem with that type of option is that it can become difficult to keep track of people when they can change their name all the time.
