Kiki Burgh Posted February 26, 2007 Posted February 26, 2007 (edited) Download hfslip-70226aNote: the fix for the problem with INFs in HFSVCPACK is no longer mentioned in the changelog here because it's included in the quick-bug-fix final 1.3.1.Changes:- [HFAAO] path of HFSLIP working folder can now contain spaces (compressed binaries inside addons couldn't be extracted in such case)btw, thanks for this TC! would this cause limitations however in slisptreaming addons? S3pHiroTh Posted February 26, 2007 Posted February 26, 2007 Kiki I think that you should remove some addons/programs then try to install windows, after you have checked that all is working, you can add one addon/program. This is the best way to find why it doesn't working.
Kiki Burgh Posted February 26, 2007 Posted February 26, 2007 doing that as we speak S3pHiroTh ATM my only concerns are Vista Sidebar & Visual Tooltip ... the rest are alright ... thanks!
Neo2x Posted February 26, 2007 Posted February 26, 2007 A question, before the latest update of WGA(KB905474) I only had a LegitCheckControl.cab and Windows Updates never complained about KB905474, but since the last update and even with an updated LegitCheckControl.cab WU now asks about KB905474, was something being done before so WU wouldn't ask for the hotfix that the new WGA brake?
Super-Magician Posted February 26, 2007 Posted February 26, 2007 KB905474 was updated. Use this link here.
Neo2x Posted February 26, 2007 Posted February 26, 2007 I know it was upgraded, the question is how come I never used it(only LegitCheckControl.cab) and it never asked me for it, but now that was upgraded(I updated LegitCheckControl.cab) it asks me for it.
Super-Magician Posted February 26, 2007 Posted February 26, 2007 Microsoft just decided to reoffer it via WU again. Can't say more about it.
S3pHiroTh Posted February 27, 2007 Posted February 27, 2007 (edited) I know it was upgraded, the question is how come I never used it(only LegitCheckControl.cab) and it never asked me for it, but now that was upgraded(I updated LegitCheckControl.cab) it asks me for it.Simply LegitCheckControl.cab isn't updated so WU ask you to install KB905474EDIT: Has someone an issue with svchost.exe service? Mine, at startup and sometimes when I use pc, takes 100% CPU usage. Edited February 27, 2007 by S3pHiroTh
Neo2x Posted February 27, 2007 Posted February 27, 2007 LegitCheckControl.cab is updated, the version I have at startup is the 1.7..... one.
S3pHiroTh Posted February 28, 2007 Posted February 28, 2007 LegitCheckControl.cab is updated, the version I have at startup is the 1.7..... one.Ok I have tested that way too some days ago (if you have read my previous topics) and yes it doesn't work. The only way to remove KB905474 from WU, is to slipstream KB905474 in HF directory, that's all.
Neo2x Posted February 28, 2007 Posted February 28, 2007 Oh well, guess as I don't like to have the WGA exe talking to MS on every boot I won't include it unless it becomes obligatory; thanks.
S3pHiroTh Posted February 28, 2007 Posted February 28, 2007 Yesterday afternoon Microsoft has released 2 update for WinXP, but one of them, when I slipstrem it with hfslip, the output messages are these:Does hfslip support this update? The output messages are strange
Tomcat76 Posted February 28, 2007 Author Posted February 28, 2007 Looking at that screenshot I'd say no.I'll have a look at it.
