SqueakyByte Posted June 20, 2003 Posted June 20, 2003 Let the battles begin.DAMMIT WRONG FORUM**REQUESTING MOVE**
Crispy Posted June 20, 2003 Posted June 20, 2003 Well, Pro is of course the best, but I don't really think the diference is worth paying for ... Move request granted - moved to Poll Center
Flash Posted June 20, 2003 Posted June 20, 2003 I have both, Home on this comp, XP Pro on the other. To be honest with ya i prefer Home, just seems more 'cosy'
Visentinel Posted June 20, 2003 Posted June 20, 2003 Obviusly if you look at the specs XP Pro is allot better.Everything is better in Pro I run Pro And i Voted Pro
amdphr3@kXP Posted June 20, 2003 Posted June 20, 2003 pro 4 sure. Too many probs with home and u hav to activate it which is a pain everytime you hav to format.
rik Posted June 20, 2003 Posted June 20, 2003 Both seem to work fine. Only real advantage I see for Pro is to connect to a Domain network. P2P works fine in Home...
Colonel_Manou Posted June 20, 2003 Posted June 20, 2003 Pro of course It has a lot more functions than home edition Just look at the price Home is not full enough with functions, it seems to be a family OS (the name is well chosen). If you're an advanced user (personal network at home, sharing printers, files, etc...) Windows XP Professionnel is a lot better. With Pro you can crypt your datas
SqueakyByte Posted June 20, 2003 Author Posted June 20, 2003 I like Home, because I don't have 200+ dollars to give out so I can go to Pro.
