Sorry if my question looks dummy

but how to use this tweaks?

will it be with nLite or will it be with WPI, or will it with another way?

please determine the layout to follow it because I'm still new to this thing:(

May, or may not interest someone here, but, Iv'e made a few registry

tweaks myself involving the good ole XVi32 hex editor, Reshack,

eXescope & notepad, whereas you can right click on any file &

choose which app you would like to edit it with..

I spend half of my computing time modding , tweaking or hacking at something

so it saves me a bunch of time as a result...

I'll post em here if interested...

I'm also considering making an install package where it installs either

reshack or XVi32 to the program files folder & merges the registry entries

along with the usual shortcuts, when I find the time to play some more... :whistle:

point to be noted...it is true , tht ATI card currupts system data if u have 1 GB RAM and above tweak enabled! i have lost my data 3 times due to this! i have reported this problem to ATI Customer Care...they told tht they have passed it to drivers developers..lets see..when it will be solved!

been a while had some other things to deal with, I will try to update the tweaks of the next week. I no longer have my own internet acess, so i'll try to be online as often as possible leeching ny friends connections :lol:

Ok guys here it the latest of update of the MSFN registry tweak. I’m very busy with real life things at the moment so im posting a beta update here, Please download the rar and report and errors, duplicate entries etc. When all the errors have been correct I will post the final in the official thread, credits will given in the file for any help provided;)

In here is one for enabling classic search (HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\CabinetState)

Use Search Asst=___

In the file it is set to yes. In order to ENABLE classic search, it should be set to NO, and there should be no other values under the same key.

To me it seems more useful to lower the length of time that restore points are kept.

"RPLifeInterval"=dword:00093a80

This will purge restore points older than 7 days, instead of the 90 days that is default.

If I haven't needed to restore in 7 days I doubt i ever will, or that doing so would be useful :)

I found an error in this tweak:

but right is

"StartMenuLogoff"=dword:00000001;

and in this tweak

"Hidden"=dword:00000000 - wrong

I found an error in this tweak:

Yep. It was a typo in some earlier version of Windows and it was dragged along. It should have been "NoStartMenuLogoff" .
