Nlite creates a huge iso! >8.8Gb!

Featured Replies

Nlite creates a huge iso file.

It is wierd because there's not even that much data!

Just sp2, and an other update pack. Where does it find all that data? Has anyone encounterd the same problem ?

WOW 8.8GB ****, wow i have never had Nlite do that to me, have you delete the project and try to start again, thats all i could say.

Have you actually examined that iso in ISOBuster or similar to see what exactly is in there? I've never heard of anything like that. If you have your Nlite & required files/folders separated from anything else that might somehow get associated with your OS creation, it just doesn't seem possible....

Maybe you made a ISO file inside the nLited folder and then made a new iso (that includes the ISO inside the nLite folder).

I did this once by accident hehe :)

I have had a look at the files. There is a dir named OEMDIR that contains every image file on my disk and other files such as archives and all ...

I deleted it and burned the iso.

but i get an error at the loading of the setup.

a file named setuptxt.sif (i think, will confirm) is said to be corrupted or not readable.

Can anyone help ?

I'll lay odds he's using a pirated XP multi CD. Do I hear 5:1? :P
