you should check this out too then.

its xp system builder, it uses the xp embedded database, on a normal xp cd, b4 iso creation.

it might help out, users who own xp already.

and beside, I know what your project is. dont take my posts as insults. your project is great, everyones project is.

@Gdogg

I've checked that out already. But my philosophy is that if you want a minimalistic system, you shouldn't go top down. The right way to go is bottom up :).

Got a suggestion for you... On the screenshot showing the start menu, it looks REALLY ugly. Why dont you remove the start menu and button, and have the 'All Programs' icons showing on the taskbar. If you are only gaming you'll have only 1 app open at a time, so there is no need for the taskbar really.

Just a suggestion - its easy to do, just some alteration to Explorer.exe

u need to dload our configuration file along with the windows embedded tools( ~ 1gig)

too bad you can't release a fully produced version of the OS (darn copyright junk and the like)

Would probably be a whole lot easier

Edit:

Apparently D4mn is a bad word, so it got changed to darn :X

@Suryad

Already posted on the front page ;). Nothing's really changed in terms of features.

I see, there's something going on here.

But when will the first release be (next month, next year, etc.) ?

I don't want you to feel stressed, I just wondered...

In the screenshots, there's a startmenue, I thought, there will be no startmenue. Will it be removed?

First release as in the first beta? That's already been released :P. If you mean the first public beta...that might be a month from now. The final product might take about a week or so from the public beta, depending on the amount of bugs.

And a new poll. What shell does everyone want?
