Tomcat76 Posted July 1, 2006 Posted July 1, 2006 Thanks. I have forwarded an updated instructions file to TommyP for review. I'll silently update the existing HFSLIP package afterwards.
Super-Magician Posted July 2, 2006 Posted July 2, 2006 I see the update but don't really see any change to HFSLIP INSTRUCTIONS.rtf. When I said it needed an update, I was specifically referring to the part of CDIMAGE in the document (boot.img should be boot.bin) although I didn't outright mention it.
dziubek Posted July 5, 2006 Posted July 5, 2006 (edited) Hi, I didn't speak long ago I have the problem with the creation of the new installation.I used LATEST VERSION hfslip - HFSLIP _ 60628.CMD & HFSLIP _ 60704a.I used the default settings. The error appears on every hotfixes:"Can't find the definite file""FINDSTR: one can not open(unlock) WORK \ INFS \ 199.inf"The ISO "looks" well theoretically but when I start him in VM in the textual mode the installator asks for floppy disk A.edit:I deleted dotnet2.exe from HF and I generated new ISO but errors are still.editI added HFSLIP.LOGHFSLIP.zip Edited July 5, 2006 by dziubek
Tomcat76 Posted July 5, 2006 Posted July 5, 2006 Strange. Try these:1) Make sure you're running HFSLIP from the Administrator account2) Remove the underscore from the HFSLIP folder3) Disable any "protection" programs that could interfere (anti-virus, script blockers, etc.)

Super-Magician Posted July 5, 2006 Posted July 5, 2006 @dziubek, your txtmode floppy disk error is most likely caused by an error in your WINNT.SIF file.

Tomcat76 Posted July 6, 2006 Posted July 6, 2006 dziubek...I don't know anything about WINNT.SIF. I experimented with it a couple of years ago but it's completely out of my memory now.Does everything work fine if you don't use that WINNT.SIF file? If so, I hope someone will be able to help you with that file.
Kiki Burgh Posted July 13, 2006 Posted July 13, 2006 yey ... a new final (60712) for us to finalize some builds XP was the 1st 1 to be cleared
Kiki Burgh Posted July 13, 2006 Posted July 13, 2006 btw, TP (& TC) nice new link ... http://users.telenet.be/tc76/hfslip/ ... simple page ... nice (not heavy when loading) ... i missed out on this ... just read it from Squeeto's post what happens to our link in FDV's site http://www.vorck.com/hfslip.html ... would it still be simultaneously updated?
tain Posted July 14, 2006 Posted July 14, 2006 TC's new site will be replacing FDV's as the primary documentation resource (other than this board).
Camarade_Tux Posted July 14, 2006 Posted July 14, 2006 Very nice pages indeed; light to load, light to read. Perfect.
Super-Magician Posted July 14, 2006 Posted July 14, 2006 @Tomcat, quick note on your Downloads page. The word "extras" should not have an apostrophe.
