HFSLIP, The 2K/XP/2K3 slipstreamer

Featured Replies

Thanks. I have forwarded an updated instructions file to TommyP for review. I'll silently update the existing HFSLIP package afterwards.

I see the update but don't really see any change to HFSLIP INSTRUCTIONS.rtf. When I said it needed an update, I was specifically referring to the part of CDIMAGE in the document (boot.img should be boot.bin) although I didn't outright mention it.

Hi, I didn't speak long ago :hello:

I have the problem with the creation of the new installation.

I used LATEST VERSION hfslip - HFSLIP _ 60628.CMD & HFSLIP _ 60704a.I used the default settings.

The error appears on every hotfixes:

"Can't find the definite file"

"FINDSTR: one can not open(unlock) WORK \ INFS \ 199.inf"

The ISO "looks" well theoretically but when I start him in VM in the textual mode the installator asks for floppy disk A.

edit:

I deleted dotnet2.exe from HF and I generated new ISO but errors are still.

edit

I added HFSLIP.LOG

HFSLIP.zip

Strange. Try these:

1) Make sure you're running HFSLIP from the Administrator account

2) Remove the underscore from the HFSLIP folder

3) Disable any "protection" programs that could interfere (anti-virus, script blockers, etc.)

I started Hfslip on the different computer and errors don't step out any more.

The installator still asks about floppy disk in the textual mode and and I can do nothing :/

@dziubek, your txtmode floppy disk error is most likely caused by an error in your WINNT.SIF file.

Strange ?? I use this file from very long time and there was no problem with "him" :>

dziubek...

I don't know anything about WINNT.SIF. I experimented with it a couple of years ago but it's completely out of my memory now.

Does everything work fine if you don't use that WINNT.SIF file? If so, I hope someone will be able to help you with that file.
