Fascix Posted July 31, 2005 Posted July 31, 2005 Oki doki here we go:First launced v0.3.0then opened up a copy of winntbbu.dll (that i have copied from my unattended winxp sp2 dir, to the WinntbbuED dir)then i made some changes (doesent matter what kind of changes, i have the same error when i just save it over whitout have done ANY changes)then i save it to the filename winntbbux.dll (note the X inte the end)then i made some more changes to winntbbux.dll and try to save it again (over the already existing winntbbux.dll file)This is where the error occurs.Tell me if you want more info on hardware, WinXP sp2 patches i have installed, Programs i use or any other info neseccary to fix this.EDIT: Ohh and in the settings of WinntbbdED i have ticked both options!Thanx<{POST_SNAPBACK}>This is very weird, i have hardly tried to reproduce this error, using different winntbbu.dll's and making no or different changes.I just cant raise this error would you be willing to run a special debug version, if so i will build onewhich will produce a special .log file, since i currently have no idea why a lockis kept open!Besides that it would be nice if you could look at this Post and get unlocker to verify it's the editor itself keeping the lock open.Any help is highly appreciated on this one<{POST_SNAPBACK}>Sure ill give it a shot no problem. just PM me when its done and ill test it for ya
Fascix Posted July 31, 2005 Posted July 31, 2005 Btw. Will get a look att the new version now.. sweetill test tis puppy out great proggi
sigepluto Posted August 1, 2005 Posted August 1, 2005 I download the WinntbbuED,but i found if it could only modify the winntbbu file in english version.there is a error dialog when i open a chinese version winntbbu.dll file.I hope the WinntbbuED could sustain the other language.<{POST_SNAPBACK}>Hi! Actually it does work with other languages, at least i tested it with english and german, but never with chinese, if you can share the winntbbu.dll that gives you that error, i will look into it and try to figure out whats different and why it gives you that error.<{POST_SNAPBACK}> Thank your reply!!But i think The WinntbbuED may be not Support the WindowXp in chinese.I use many Winntbbu.dll ,but none of them could work. This is my Winntbbu.dll :http://rapidshare.de/files/3537204/WINNTBBU.DLL.htmland this is another one i download from the web ( I think its in english version )http://rapidshare.de/files/3537328/WINNTBBU.DLL.htmland both are not work. The error is the same.I need your help!Thank you very much.error.bmp

piXelatedEmpire Posted August 1, 2005 Posted August 1, 2005 so here we go:V0.3.1 Mainly Bug Fixesf - filename check for .dl_ is no longer case sensitivef - case of filename is no longer changed after expandingf - minor error in the internal preview, the internal preview has an extension of 640x480 but the top left logo was the medium size which is used with 800x600. Now the appropiate Picture is used f - makecab is now executed passing the path of the original file to be compressed, before there was no path used. Which let the compressed file end up somewhere on the system instead of the directory of the uncompressed onef - some minor grammar errorsf - bug with the color editing, where canceling didnt restore the previous colorsc - Default selected Logo in the Edit Pictures Dialog is now small, reflecting the change in the internal previewc - Link Destionation for the first and Description for the second link in the about Dialog. They are more accurate nowc - the order of the items on the extra menu. This should improve handling a bitc - the way the edit pictures dialog fetches its images, this was neccessary to display the step pictures correctly. this was no longer correct since the Transparency color was addedc - minor layout corrections to the Edit Pictures Dialogc - Moved Cabbing Menus to an own submenu on Extrasc - most of the loading messages to reflect the actual filenamec - Release mechanism and release point, hopefully eliminating the error 70a - Auto Expand for syssetup.dl_ aswell now, if no syssetup.dll but a syssetup.dl_ is found in the same directory as the winntbbu.dll you will be able to let WinntbbuED expand it automaticly if possiblea - two new options to settings to dis/enable syssetup expandationa - sub menu to Extras to apply makecab on syssetup.dll if presenta - right click context menu to the pictures in the edit picture dialog, you can save pictures from there nowa - clear option to the context menu for the pictures. you can now remove the logos and the step images completely n - clearing works in different ways, for the logo's they get completely deleted from the resources, the step pictures are replace with original size images in the transparency color, so if you change that color you will have to reclear those images. This is necessary because of the way winntbbu.dll handeles its resources. This is the most compilant way possible. Clearing of the Animation Images is NOT supported, winntbbu.dll doesnt handle that, if you want to remove those, i suggest you replace them with 1x1 pictures matching your background image color.GREAT STUFF progressing nicely
darkstonexa Posted August 1, 2005 Posted August 1, 2005 I can open the standard Winntbbu.dll on the xp installation and make modifications to my hearts content BUT if I download anyones dll say from the Yahoo group and go Edit -> pictures I get the following errorRuntime error '91'object variable or with block variable not set...is there a solution to this problem...Thanks
maxXPsoft Posted August 5, 2005 Posted August 5, 2005 @darkstonexaHes on vacation right now and keep that dll available so maybe you can post it somewhere he can work with it or a link. The ones I d/l used to do that but they don't anymore. I haven't tried any new ones lately.

TheMadGuy Posted August 12, 2005 Author Posted August 12, 2005 @All Experiencing Unknown Problems & Errors:Here is a special Debug Version:WinntbbuED_Debug.exeTo find and iron out the Bugs i cant reproduce, i will need your help,so please get the Debug Version and post what happens when you run iton those files that dont work, and if you can share those files here aswell that would be perfect. The Debug Version provides extended error information for me, so either post the message or simply post a screenshot of it here. tia.@those getting error 70:you will find a WinntbbuED.log on your Systemdrives root, i need you topost this log here, and as mentioned several times before on this topicplease get Unlocker and check which programs have a lock open on the file in the moment the error occours.Hope we'll get further now.
TheMadGuy Posted August 12, 2005 Author Posted August 12, 2005 ... Thank your reply!!But i think The WinntbbuED may be not Support the WindowXp in chinese.I use many Winntbbu.dll ,but none of them could work. This is my Winntbbu.dll :http://rapidshare.de/files/3537204/WINNTBBU.DLL.htmland this is another one i download from the web ( I think its in english version )http://rapidshare.de/files/3537328/WINNTBBU.DLL.htmland both are not work. The error is the same.I need your help!Thank you very much.<{POST_SNAPBACK}>Hi!ok, i downloaded the files and checked they work just fine, so i suspect this could indeed be a problem caused by the os that WinntbbuEd is run on. To narrow down on this problem i will require you to run the Debug Version i put online. Please check this post here and i am sure we'll get this fixed aswell
