KJxp Posted April 27, 2005 Posted April 27, 2005 >I don't know what you guys like about Norton Antivirus.<I don't either. I completely agree with Marthax. It's bloatware.

member11 Posted April 27, 2005 Posted April 27, 2005 NOD32 is considered the best according to my standard for 5 reasons1-Cheap-Price2-Speedy scanner3-Excellence virus detecting engine4- Get your support question in a speedy way.5-Use less computer resourcesNo, i don't work for nod32. I have used all your mentioned antivirus software and this one is number 1
Marsden Posted April 27, 2005 Posted April 27, 2005 I prefer to use stateful packet inspection and application layer filtering and avoid the need for anti-virus software and all the hassles that go with it. Did I mention that Exchange 2003 strips EVERY attachment and drops them on the floor? We have never had a virus...

Mchart Posted May 2, 2005 Posted May 2, 2005 Kaspersky. No questions asked. It has been proven that it detects virus's better then any other virus scan out there. And if you choose Norton or Mcafee, well I laugh at you. Not only are they the same exact engine, but they just don't work good, and they are memory hogs.
raza Posted May 4, 2005 Author Posted May 4, 2005 I didnot have any antivirus in my computer and it was going all okay. But now when i installed norton it started creating problems for me.I will say if u have win xp firewall and u keep on updating it no virus will reach ur computer. Now i know why norton is not so good.It takes a lot of resources.
MzKzMzFz Posted May 4, 2005 Posted May 4, 2005 For personal use at home & workstation at office Kaspersky AntiVirus Personal 5.0.For server (Windows Server 2003) Kaspersky Business Optimal.I've done updates every day and our antivirual protection not bad at all.Only 3 minuses:1. It use near 30% of system resourses.2. Too slow.3. Many troubles when your license key has expired.
