Goodmaneuver Posted July 1, 2020 Posted July 1, 2020 @duga3 If you are using a USB to PS2 adapter then the games do stop when using the keyboard and mouse together at the same time. This phenomenon I found out using an ATL graphics card and games on WinXP. The solution would be to use 2 x USB to PS2 adapters, one for the keyboard and one for the mouse.
jr2 Posted April 7 Posted April 7 (edited) So, I'm using QEMU 10, which has a USB tablet driver for seamless mouse transition from host to guest. NUSB 3.6 makes this work with '98 SE perfectly (instead of missing drivers). Windows ME isn't supported by NUSB 3.6 so I extracted the exe file, right-click > install on every .inf file, run the .bat, then restart. Explorer has caused an error in EXPLORER.EXE Explorer will now close. BUT, THE SEAMLESS MOUSE DRIVER IS WORKING!! Hmm, maybe explorer needs to be copied? Backup explorer.exe and copy version from NUSB 3.6 extracted. Nope. Anyone know how to get this working on ME, or which .inf to install to just get the Human Interface Device (USB tablet) working properly? EDIT: I found an older Explorer.exe in \_restore\Temp (Explorer.0, either 199 or 200KB) and copied it over. The other Explorer.exe had already been replaced by NUSB after driver install, I found (That one was 167KB, matching the NUSB version). So, with the original Explorer.exe, seamless mouse transition works fine and no more errors. Hopefully that's that. Edited April 8 by jr2 Found solution
schwups Posted April 22 Posted April 22 Nice that you solved the problem. Normally, there is no reason to install NUSB on Win ME. Win ME has the (HID) drivers by default. Maybe there is a problem between ME and QEMU.
