March 15, 200521 yr I use a combo of 2 tools, Ace Utilites 2.42 & TuneUp Utilities 2004. The 'delete empty folders' option in Ace Utilities is great!
March 15, 200521 yr i use ccleaner and hdlceanerboth freewarehdlceaner has proper file shredding and cleaning, and it can properly wipe your free space (does it 7 times over to be sure)

March 17, 200521 yr East-Tec Eraser is awesome for wiping! As for 7 passes "just to be sure"... files can be recovered up to 35 levels. But since 7 passes is enough to prevent both software and hardware recovery, it's all you need. I found a freeware app a while back simply called Eraser but it was buggy.

March 20, 200521 yr Ace Utilites, is a small great suite ! I hugely recommend it. Better than system mechanic.
