WMP10 Slipstreamer Version 1.1

Recommended Posts

Sorry man, but I would really like to have the Slipstreaming process to work.

Thats what I did ... Used nLite, removed some Bloat ...

Then, added DriverPacks

at last, used the slipstreamer to add Windows Media Player.

Any ideas? Thanks for ur reply and thanks for trying to help me out!

add the files before you use nlite or do anything else, and make sure you get ALL the files that you need, if you dont you'll get a error when you try to run wmp saying the setup was messed up.

So, the slipstreaming should be the first thing I do?

Cool! Goes against what ive heard, but ur probably right!

Ill just copy the things from my c:\I386 to the I386 of my UACD and edit the HIVEDEF and only after, Ill use nLite and Driverpacks

Thank you very very much!

yeah i know people say to do it the otherway around but i do it this way everytime and it works, the only times it dont are because i dont select and copy all the files over but thats no ones fault but my own (i click drag and select without scrolling all the way down or something).

thats the error i get when i dont compleatly copy all the wmp10 files and some files are still version 9 so my guess would be that there is something wrong with your slipstream files try downloading the pack provided HERE and see if that fixes your problem.

@Gouki

Have you tried..

1)Starting with XP Gold (XP with no service packs)

2)Adding Service Pack 2 to your XP Gold with nLite (no tweaking or removing anything) or manually add it

3)Add RyanVM 1.2.1 updates via nLite (no tweaking or removing anything) or manually add it.

4)Using the original m$ WMP10install.exe with BsT slipstreamer then

copying the slipstreamed wmp10 files from C:\I386 into your XPCD\I386 directory.

5)Adding the entry to the HIVEDEF that resides in XPCD\I386 directory

6)(optional)Adding the extracted files from No-WMP to your XPCD\I386 directory

7)Make ISO and test.

Once you get that done and working then use nLite to take some bloat out.

Maybe even add the MP3 functionality. The after touches can be added after you get it working.

HOLD IT!

A couple of warnings for u.

1. RyanVM's pack + Nlite (latest edition) = hanging in some cases.

2. RyanVM's pack + BTS drivers pack = Method 2 hanging, Method 1 working.

But u cannot install IPX over your network.

Do not I repeat do not use Nlite with RyanVM's pack.

Use the manual Integration of RyanVM's pack instead

if u are using a language other than English u can use Iceman's Script

to integrate SP2 and Hotfixes. Again do not use Nlite.

Nlite is littered with bugs

U will find that many people have reported errors using Nlite with Ryanvm's packs. RyanVM has also acknowledge there is a problem.

My suggestion to u.

1. XP

2. Download Iceman's Script

3. Integrate SP2 and Hotfixes

4. Integrate BTS drivers Pack

5. Drop the Media Player files into I386

click the links i gave u and check it out. good luck.
