HOTFIXES: Windows XP SP2 & Windows 2000 SP4

It seems KB890175 isn't necessary as well since its only file, hhctrl.ocx, is in KB896358 now. Correct me if i'm wrong.

Well, it was listed when I ran my simulation a few hours ago...

I'll re-run the simulation later to see if something has changed

*** EDIT ***

It seems to be the case for Windows 2000 SP4...

Hmm one question about KB890046 :

I found two files in SP2QFE directory : agentdpv.dll and spru040c.dll. But in my registry, i don't find entries for spru040c.dll exept in the uninstall folder of the patch. And there's an extra one, xpsp3res.dll.

I don't understand anything to that patch.

After updating mine is 63C08887-00BE-4C9B-9EFC-4B9407EF0C4C

Thanks, I'll give it a shot, and edit this message to confirm or otherwise!

<Edit>

As promised the GUID is fine, no updates required on WU except for Windows Update Version 6, I used the first page for XP SP2 with the latest updates from Incroyable HULKs post.

Here is the command I used in my batch file

REG ADD HKLM\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\RemovalTools\MRT /v Version /d "63C08887-00BE-4C9B-9EFC-4B9407EF0C4C" /f

Hej ppl

was just woundering what you mean by the "Removed KB890923 for WinXP SP2" on the first page and "You forget to mention the obvious removal of KB893066 (v1) and KB890175 for WinXP SP2" by Nilfred

Should i remove thoose from my DVD and SVCPACK.INF or does it mean that they no longer ar supported by MS or?

You forget to mention the obvious removal of KB893066 (v1) and KB890175 for WinXP SP2

KB893066 (v2) is listed has a new update and is mentionned in the update log. I think this is obvious that v1 is no longer required otherwise, I'll have to mention every month that KB890830 is removed?

KB890175 is still listed under Windows Update from a clean install point. I know that it won't probably show up if you install all the other hotfixes but my experience tell me I should leave it there. When SP2 came along, the GDI+ update was supposed to be unecessary but it was still showing up sometimes on certain configuration.
