fluid Posted March 25, 2005 Posted March 25, 2005 Simonsays: Will you be making a 1.0.2 release? I really like your 1.0.1 release. I do hope you release a 1.0.2 version.

I do hope you release a 1.0.2 version.<{POST_SNAPBACK}>As I found out, it's really easy to do this yourself.Use this guide to make a default profile with all extensions and settings included.Install Firefox 1.0.2 with the -ms switch and put your default profile in your Firefox folder (as explained in the guide) and it'll work. It's quite easy, I can assure you. B) And the same goes for Thunderbird 1.0.2
fluid Posted March 25, 2005 Posted March 25, 2005 Is it the same as with custom builds? An example of a custom build I am talking about is http://moox.ws/tech/mozilla/firefox_m3.htm and the 3rd party builds in forums.mozilla.org

fluid Posted March 26, 2005 Posted March 26, 2005 Is the changelog for 1.0.2? In the first post it still says 1.0.1.
SiMoNsAyS Posted March 26, 2005 Author Posted March 26, 2005 Is the changelog for 1.0.2? In the first post it still says 1.0.1.<{POST_SNAPBACK}>1.0.2 changelog but i haven't uploaded it yet, i'm just testing that propper shortcuts are created depending on the folders you fill on the installer
nujackk Posted March 26, 2005 Posted March 26, 2005 @simonsays Thanx. got it done now. Appreciate the help, and all the work you put in to this.
fluid Posted March 26, 2005 Posted March 26, 2005 Simonsays: Is your build optimized? I dont know how to tell if a build is optimized or not.
totoymola Posted March 26, 2005 Posted March 26, 2005 What do you mean by optimized? Do you mean compressed to make the files smaller?
fluid Posted March 26, 2005 Posted March 26, 2005 Optimized like these buildshttp://moox.ws/tech/mozilla/firefox_m3.htmhttp://forums.mozillazine.org/viewtopic.php?t=54487
sleepnmojo Posted March 26, 2005 Posted March 26, 2005 Optimized like these buildshttp://moox.ws/tech/mozilla/firefox_m3.htmhttp://forums.mozillazine.org/viewtopic.php?t=54487<{POST_SNAPBACK}>Simon's build is not optimized. He just repacked the installer essentially, not rebuilt the program. The easiest way for you to tell if it is optimized is if it is using the "official" graphics or not. All the optimized builds use one they created or the unoffical graphics.
durex Posted March 26, 2005 Posted March 26, 2005 @durex, this night or tomorrow a new version of the installer will come out without version and language independant<{POST_SNAPBACK}>But is it easy to create an installer similar to yours?
