roytam1 Posted May 26 Posted May 26 recently I got a J1900 SBC board, of course it can run win10 but I do want to run XP on it. with latest acpi.sys it boots XP, but no USB port is working. Disabling USB3 makes every USB devices hidden to XP. and maybe a modded display driver can work on it?
Damnation Posted May 27 Posted May 27 It's odd that USB 3.0 isn't working, it should. Graphics wise you'll be limited to 2D with the generic VBEMP driver, unless you've got a PCI-E slot.

tekkaman Posted May 27 Posted May 27 (edited) USB 3.0 requires drivers on XP. It is not plug and play. Edited May 27 by tekkaman

ED_Sln Posted May 28 Posted May 28 I've collected various USB3 drivers that I found on different forums. They work differently on different motherboards and with different ACPI, so before installing it is better to make a backup of the OS, because it happens that the OS stops booting. The first one to try is AMD+Intel, it does not add any additional layers to the system, for example ntoskrn8.sys. If it doesn't work, then try the others one by one. https://www.upload.ee/files/18148104/USB3.7z.html 1

we3fan Posted May 28 Posted May 28 Hi @roytam1, the MDL thread (https://forums.mydigitallife.net/threads/winxp-32-bit-on-a-modern-pc-iso-boot-wim-install-wim.88834/) by @reboot12, I saved it to .html, so now you can see full content offline. https://ufile.io/ra9ue6rg 1

reboot12 Posted May 28 Posted May 28 (edited) @roytam1 Best USB3 drivers for XP - AMD by daniel fixed by me - I use them in my XP 32 and 64-bit tutorials on MDL. Also works fixed by me from George King 6.2.9200.21180 - I used them in tutorials before but they have a slight problem: https://forums.mydigitallife.net/threads/winxp-64-bit-on-a-modern-pc-iso-boot-wim-install-wim.88435/page-7#post-1868985 Everything is on MDL in my tutorials and other topics - just register. reboot12 Posted May 29 Posted May 29 (edited) @Klemper I have a question - is registration not working on the MDL forum? I don't want to explain once again what and how because that's how everything is described: https://forums.mydigitallife.net/threads/usb-3-xhci-driver-stack-for-windows-7.81934/page-18#post-1861262 My drivers work OK and tested on many computers. First time I've heard of drivers "killing the mobo" Edited May 29 by reboot12

I simply don't register on pirate forums, I can allow myself to buy a legit OS once in a twenty years. Therefore, no need to waste time on pirated content. Mentioning of that forum is banned by @Tripredacus.
