Pros - a somewhat light, with the most needed customisations, like removing the ugly profile button and the ability to have a really clean UI

Officially works on old OS, the release version of Win 7 (2009) for example, works on Vista with a couple of tweaks, works on Win 8 from 2012. 

No problems with excessive brightness or fonts!

Cons - very seldom engine updates.

Thoughts?

I obviously should have told about the Chinese telemetry in that Browser, but I was quite busy when I posted, and I can't say it has lots of it, in contrast to the original 360 Extreme Explorer, for example.

I ran the "portable" version ( centbrowser_5.1.1130.129_x64_portable ) long enough to run some speed comparisons.

It is fast!  But it is NOT "portable" unless you use a different loader.  Their "portable" version only moves the profile location, it doesn't localize registry writes.

Like many other Chromium Forks, it is also unfortunate that it doesn't offer an ungoogled version.  I really dislike the always-running "hosted app" (Chrome Web Store).

Thanks for the opinion, yes, fast. I'm gonna stick with it for a while. I use it in conjunction with the old Dixel's launcher because the browser engine is quite dated (118.

I edited it out of the pak file, no problem anymore.

Same here.  But the Chrome Web Store is only one aspect that requires ungoogling.  Chrome recent versions have built-in WebRTC functions (ie, special treatment for Google IP Addresses) that must also be mitigated.

There is always something that Google keeps adding to Chrome.  I've found it too tiresome to even try to keep up!  Ungoogled Chromium is a large team effort and they are quite good at keeping up.

Did you notice the most notable feature? It has the ability to switch OFF DirectWrite, ungoogled version doesn't.

Agree, how this browser renders fonts, it's simply fantastic!

I can't compare with the current ungoogled 127, but the last one I made comparisons (v.111) with either of the famous Chinese forks, they alll rendered much better on all OS.

Is this browser equipped with its own set of certificates? Looks like so.
