Have a look at my "results":

You are being hit with witnessing the "spam redirect" discussed (but now seemingly dead) thread.

I don't have that link offhand, there is a thread here at MSFN that discusses this very thing.

Thanks for the link! I have never observed this crap before. Google and Microsoft are unfortunately dominating the market. They are togetther monopolists destroying the idea of free infornation. So, the users have to understand that and say bye, bye to them. I personally start to use Mojeek and Brave Search. I've had absolutely had enough of this rubbish. :realmad: .That aside, the quality of Google’s search results declined steadily. Even the exact phrase was no longer taken into account. The results increasingly consisted of irrelevant rubbish that had absolutely nothing to do with the search query. :thumbdown

The trick when it comes to using legacy browsers is actually to prevent such a situation from arising in the first place. I used to use extensions like that many, many years ago, but they didn’t really help. The hope that they’ll make a difference is usually far greater than their actual benefit. Many of these tools simply move the junk from the RAM to the pagefile.sys. BTW, I'm actually only familiar with version 7.4.1. Yours must be quite old. Where did you get it from? :dubbio:

It is not 2x faster, but helps in the overall browsing experience - to bridge the gaps so to speak. Sadly it's not anymore listed in Mozilla Addons, yet it was there about a year ago; I got it thanks to the Internet Archive.

Ok. Memory Fox 1.0 is a webextension and not a legacy one. That explains a lot. Therefore, it won't work in New Moon 28. I had a look inside the XPI file, and the popup.js is a script for discarding tabs. No more, no less. In case you are running Serpent 52 in single-process mode, it can't really help. Real tab discarding is only possible if running the browser in multi-process mode. :P

And now it’s crystal clear where this is heading if other search engines rely solely on Google. Startpage, Ecosia and many, many others no longer recognise MSFN either. It’s a complete disaster. Monopolies are the death of everything. :thumbdown My compliments to Mojeek and Brave:thumbup They are now my main search engines in New Moon, Serpent and Mypal:P

Actually, in the case of Google excluding MSFN "results", there is a case to be made that they are doing so FOR YOUR PROTECTION.

The DNS "chain" (I don't know the technical terms) has been EXPLOITED and HACKED by "bad people".

Since that has never been "fixed", then Google and *all forms of AI out there* see accessing MSFN as a SECURITY RISK.

That there "is" evidence of a MAN IN THE MIDDLE "ATTACK".

So there is a case to be made that "security conscientious" search engines *SHOULD* be EXCLUDING results.

Oh man, you can’t seriously be saying that in your right mind, can you? :dubbio: Google Search has been a complete disaster for ages. And I’m sick of hearing that rubbish about ‘for your own safety or for your protection’. It’s the daftest excuse ever and one of the reasons why everything’s going down the drain. :thumbdown

I agree.  I do not use Google on a regular basis.  I don't, and never have.  All I know is that a member was discussing his Google results and so I did a search for "MSFN Start Is Back" and the results **DID** find MSFN.  I am not advocating for Google here, I do not use Google, all I can do is report the facts as they unfold.  And what is unfolding TODAY is *NOT* identical to what unfolded a week ago.  We *ARE* further down that drain today then we were yesterday.  *Fact!*  I feel like you are twisting my words, I AM ON YOUR SIDE in this discussion.
