The title is wrong. It should be An alleged account Hack From Los Angeles (2 Days Ago)

Because you provided no proof. No screenshots,, nothing.

Take a screengrab of that alleged email and attach here.

Um, the link doesn't work.

this is what the email said here is what it said (name removed for privacy)

We have detected 5 failed log in attempts to your account from Los Angeles, California, 90009, United States.

If this wasn't you, someone else may be trying to access your account. These log in attempts were unsuccessful. You may however want to change your password for greater security, especially if you use the same password on other websites.

If this was you, you can safely ignore this email and you will be able to sign in again at 06/17/2023 02:16 PM.

The forum does show the account locking and also the LA IP address. However, that login attempt was using the same device you normally use.

Furthermore, when you changed your forum password, it was done using a Moreno California IP address, which you continued to use that same day (6/17) and even made posts, such as this one:

The CA IPs that were used that day are registered to the same ISP as the ones you normally use, so it appears to the forum that it was your own device that generated the failed attempts.

I've long held the belief that VPN's should not be granted login access.  I no longer think that, but I admit that I used to.

I know that other countries possibly require VPN's in order to reach MSFN so we perhaps need to allow VPN access.

But I will submit that any MSFN Member with a history of suspicious activity (which I am not claiming that legacyfan falls into this category, I'm just "talking out loud"), should that MSFN Member be denied VPN login privileges?

Moreno Valley, California hosts several VPN servers based on a quick non-thorough search.

So does Los Angeles, California.

Well, then it's definitely an impostor, because the real legacyfan always told us he is from Texas.

The fake one from CA needs to be blocked/banned until the real Texan legacyfan returns and shows the proof (like they do it on instagram) and his IP from Texas. Also, considering his public confession of stalking and putting dirt on MSFN (in the thread you've mentioned), I'd say the abuser must go.

"greetings from texas"

Hey fake legacyfan, don't bother to edit out the info about Texas, I took screenshots and saved the pages.

Brilliant detective work though.

Thank you! And the above links are only a handful of such posts. There's literally a ton of posts where he always talks about him being from Texas, how cool Texas is, Texan women and weather, etc.

How he moved to Texas from Eastern Europe, etc.
