verta Posted December 9, 2022 Posted December 9, 2022 Hi, I am looking for the answers to the following questions. Is there a way to add the -, + Tab to the MENU dropdown list to change the zoom on a site you're viewing without going to the settings/advanced page? Like: How do I configure the browser to not allow restore saved tabs on a system crash? thanks.
NotHereToPlayGames Posted December 9, 2022 Author Posted December 9, 2022 For page zoom, just hold the Ctrl keyboard key down and hit the numpad + or - key and that will zoom that tab in or out. 3

I am seeing a method to perform this. But it isn't exactly for the "average" user. There is a file called "Local State" in the User Data folder. A "normal exit" is on the left. A "browser crash" is on the right. Note also that there are "system crash" variables also in this file but I did not "force" a SYSTEM crash to witness these variables, I only forced a BROWSER crash.

Yes I do NOT want to save tabs on a system crash. I did not know you can save tabs on a normal EXIT. I agree this is advanced for an average user. Is it possible to add checkbox configuration in SETTINGS based on these variables. Save Tabs on EXIT: checkbox "true/false" Save Tabs on CRASH: checkbox "true/false" This would be a nice feature to have for the average user. It also much easier in case the user changes their mind for these settings. If it is possible, I would need a walkthrough on how to do it, being an average user. =) Edited December 9, 2022 by verta

But make sure you are not clearing cache and cookies on exit. Which means also to not use the loader .ini file to delete session content either.
NotHereToPlayGames Posted December 9, 2022 Author Posted December 9, 2022 2 hours ago, verta said: Save Tabs on CRASH: checkbox "true/false" Not possible. A new loader could be compiled that parses the Local State file and clears session-restore tabs in the event of a crash flag. But I save that project for somebody else to pick up. 1

Which means also to not use the loader .ini file to delete session content either. If those three options are checked, then the loader, loader.ini will not delete session content. So unchecking those will allow the deleting of those three circled options and more? If this is true it might explain why tabs were saved during a system crash.
verta Posted December 9, 2022 Posted December 9, 2022 (edited) I have an Users Profile Setting inquiry. ---------------------------------------------------- Parameters=--user-data-dir="%Profile%" If I change the above line in loader.ini to : Parameters=--user-data-dir="%HOMEPATH%\Application Data\360\%Profile%" Is there anything else I need to change to keep the users profile in their account? %Variable source%: https://www.computerhope.com/issues/ch000088.htm Edited December 9, 2022 by verta

NotHereToPlayGames Posted December 9, 2022 Author Posted December 9, 2022 360Chrome DOES SAVE TABS ON CRASH.
NotHereToPlayGames Posted December 9, 2022 Author Posted December 9, 2022 (edited) For some seasonal fun -- https://www.dropbox.com/s/tuaz0t1i48ac77l/newtab.zip?dl=1 Place in same directory as "chrome.dll", "options.zip", "resources.pak", et cetera. Now a random Christmas Scene will load for all New Tab pages (assuming you use chrome://newtab/ for new tabs or on startup). 16 images (all from wallpapers.com) are stored within the .zip, no images are fetched externally. mina7601 Posted December 10, 2022 Posted December 10, 2022 Thanks! Although that Christmas Scene in your screenshot looks creepy, I'm fine with it, lol. 1
