Adobe Flash Player Removal Updates

A heads up to all Windows users -

Microsoft will be deploying Windows Updates to permanently remove Flash Player - these updates *cannot* be reversed: https://blogs.windows.com/msedgedev/2019/08/30/update-removing-flash-microsoft-edge-internet-explorer/#PAAgpmTRlOOih0TO.97

It would be nice if Flash was dead, but since it isn't, be wary of these if you need Flash Player! Updates are coming for 8.1/10, and possibly for 7 ESU.

Anyone know what the last Flash update is *WITHOUT* the kill switch?

Wow, thanks! How did you figure that out?

Are you saying if I install 32.0.0.371, I should be good to go? Wonder how old that is.

Looks like Adobe doesn't have the older versions on their site, do you know where the old versions can be found?

400 megabytes? Adobe should have learned about solid compression. The standalone exe projector doesn't seem to have the timebomb restriction.

There are Flash updates on Black Wing Cat's Windows Legacy Update ( win2k.org type "flash" in search), where you can directly extract the netscape plugin or the exe, and the package size is smaller.

Have there been any new functional additions, new data formats in Flash recently? I'm still using Flash 11.4, and the version number has since taken inspiration from Firefox and Chrome.

Not sure if useful, just in case:

Thanks, I ended up extracting the whole ~400 MB file and finding these and a bunch of other stuff in them.

I kept all the Windows files and deleted the Mac and Linux junk.

If people block the Windows Update removing Flash support then I think we're home free from here.

I probably won't necessarily install it right or use it actively but it will be handy to keep handy. I don't trust the web to all of a sudden remove Flash everywhere. That takes years, maybe decades, not months.

In Windows 8, I just want to keep the integrated Flash engine (which I believe is ActiveX) for local offline use.  I like to play Yeti Sports games.

Hopefully that isn't time bombed.
