You want to say you honestly believe that those others, still left there, fulfil their obligations? I never really assumed every country followed... I'm just tired. I knew that the US barely even followed it so practically it doesn't make much of a difference. I'm just tired of climate change being a debate. I'm tired of the world being this constant step forward and step back. Maybe that's just a US specific thing. Climate change is something I will have to deal with as I get older, and especially generations that come after me. I kinda liked getting lots of snow in the winter.

It soon may change when Russia imposes their highest taxes and brings you their worst and overpriced medicine. And Ukraine will simply quit to fulfil Paris climate agreements, even though I have my doubts it ever did in full. BTW: Under Russia, Ukraine gifted the world with Chernobyl, we don't want this to repeat, so do your best, and good luck to you! I'm not sure if I'll be able to go there again due to my age. 2

Hey, how're you gonna live, if you're already tired at 18 19? Geez! Throw out your depression into the nearest dumpster, it'll be okay. Find something to cheer you up. Use whatever means to entertain yourself, except for the illegal. And I mean - whatever! As an example, I entertain myself with my hobbies and dating much younger women (25-30 years younger). I never married, probably try to follow D'Draker's path? It's fun, see, no obligations to anyone, and you're free, you belong only to yourself! Forget about the dreaded climate! EDIT, sorry you're already 19, my mistake. Doesn't change what I wrote. Edited February 8 by D.Draker 1

And that strains our society much more than other countries! What do you have against drug addicts!??! They are the best thing for the climate one could ever imagine, and some of them are very fun people. You, on the other hand, boring church goer from Midwest with 18327723710 children, and I bet every of your off-springs has 263863998 cars themselves. And you wrote you have several too, your family is awful for the US climate. I bet all of your cars use gasoline. 2

Did I ever tell you about the Toyota Prius owner that lives on my street? He would SNUB HIS NOSE every time I drove by !!! I finally CONFRONTED the POS and asked him what he has against me. We've been rather GREAT neighbors ever since - once he realized that my 263863998 cars only drive a combined 3,000 miles per year and one fillup at the gas station lasts three or four MONTHS to the 5 or 6 *DAYS* that he fills up his Prius every week! So again, "my friend", IT'S ALL RELATIVE. Owning 263863998 cars is NOT what is bad for the climate. Owning a Prius and CONSUMING twenty times more gasoline but then snubbing your nose at non-Prius owners is what is KILLING THE CLIMATE. It's always the people that drive Prius's or Tesla's that are PART OF THE PROBLEM [CONSUME MORE BUT ACT LIKE THEY ARE SAVING THE PLANET] instead of being part of the SOLUTION [CONSUME LESS AND JUST MIND YOUR OWN BUSINESS]. It's all relative. Edited February 8 by NotHereToPlayGames

You're BOTH WRONG, so I don't know why you are "thanking" someboby that AGREES with you but is WRONG. The US is NOT becoming "poorer". That's the problem with MSFN. We all just gang-hang with folks we "agree" with, nobody really ever LEARNS anything, we all just preach to the choir of our gang-hang posse. I can only find a chart dating back to 1990, but the REALITY is that the US poverty rate fluctuates between 15% and 11% and the US is *NOT POORER*. YOU GUYS WANT TO MAKE IT SOUND LIKE THE US POVERTY RATE IS 20, 30, 40, 80 PERCENT AND THAT IS JUST SIMPLY FLATOUT WRONG AND PROPAGANDA. As I've stated, NOTHING HAS REALLY CHANGED. 11% to 15% is a very NARROW range. THE US IS NOT GETTING "POORER". BUT NO! IT'S NOT GETTING "RICHER" EITHER! https://www.statista.com/statistics/200463/us-poverty-rate-since-1990/ Edited February 9 by NotHereToPlayGames
NotHereToPlayGames Posted February 9 Posted February 9 (edited) NIGERIA is a country "getting poorer". EIGHT PERCENT bump from 2018 to 2023 is TWICE THE NARROW RANGE OF HERE IN THE USA! Nigieria is "richer" than they were in 1985 through 2003, but "richer" and "poorer" really is (as I have been saying all along) "relative". The US is not getting "poorer". The US's 4% NARROW RANGE is something MOST COUNTRIES IN THE WORLD would BEG FOR (pun intended). https://intelpoint.co/blogs/nigerias-poverty-rate-trend-from1960-to-2024/ Edited February 9 by NotHereToPlayGames

From what I see with my own eyes on various dating platforms, including X (Twi), the populace in USA gets poorer every year. Why? I see more and more Ikea furniture in the background. IKEA is made of planet polluting garbage, and in France it's so rare to be seen at all, only bums and vagabonds would ever consider buying Ikea.

Your alleged "above average" salary isn't "rich", either. But then again, good for the climate since you can't allow yourself to have an 18 year old girlfriend, less iPhones to be purchased every year, less garbage. I'm starting to like the new trend in USA poorness.

What I have been claiming, or trying to, is that NOTHING CHANGES. I can drop myself in the 50s, 80s, 2020s and really not feel any different socio-economically. NOTHING CHANGES. If anything "has changed", in my humble opinion, it's the sheer magnituge of the "have nots" thinking that the "haves" OWE THEM just for them "existing". They do not owe me anythying. I do not owe them anything. Live and let live. But don't expect handouts from others. CARRY YOUR OWN WEIGHT. Doesn't really seem like too much to ask.

Well, let's see, in 2009-2014 they still had somewhat solid/decent furniture, many had wooden, but then I took a break with my longest to last girlfriend, and I spent about 10 years with her, then I got back somewhere at the end of 2024, and what do I see? US users are all crapified with their cheap plastic non-eco-friendly garbage furniture, at the same time they have iPhones, but it was also the case in the aforementioned period of the early 2010s, so?
