SkyySX Posted October 4, 2018 Posted October 4, 2018 Are any of these the 1809 Symbols? I want to try 1809 in a VM first before I update as Aero Glass is seemingly working well with it out of the box.
UCyborg Posted October 4, 2018 Posted October 4, 2018 (edited) It doesn't work well with 1809. Symbols won't help, Aero Glass has to be updated again. Edited October 4, 2018 by UCyborg typo 1

UCyborg Posted October 4, 2018 Posted October 4, 2018 It doesn't crash right away, but blur doesn't work and it breaks the programs' preview thumbnails in the taskbar.

bthompson1234 Posted October 11, 2018 Author Posted October 11, 2018 Windows installed another update that broke it again. Fortunately I found a link to the new symbols file and it fixed it. Boy, this is a real cat-and-mouse game with Microsoft! ^sigh^.

If someone encouters the same issue after the latest cumulative Windows 10 update, you can download the appropriate symbols with this tool:https://github.com/rajkumar-rangaraj/PDB-Downloader Just select the dwmcore.dll in C:\Windows\System32. bthompson1234 Posted October 18, 2018 Author Posted October 18, 2018 Guys, I've got a great tip. After my Aero Glass was restored, I noticed that it still didn't work with the Chrome browser. So, I did some investigation and found this: Go to this URL: chrome://flags/#windows10-custom-titlebar And turn off "Let Chrome override the behavior of drawing the title bar". It's explained in this message thread:https://productforums.google.com/forum/#!topic/chrome/07K2f9Thj1w Enjoy!

Okay, I registered only because I've been trying to follow the instructions on the new updates, and here is where I find the first snag. I have version 1.5.9, and I've uninstalled and reinstalled several times, and there is no "symbols" or "dwmcore.pdb" folders in my AeroGlass folder. It's just one with all the files. So do I create those folders too? Next, I now have W10 version 1803 and build 17134.345, so I guess all the links to the files no longer work for me. However, now we have this: Quote EDIT: Nvm, I found them myself. I looked at the Github site, downloaded that PDB-Downloader, extracted it...and...is it supposed to run or install? Do I copy it somewhere? I found the dwmcore.dll file in my System32 folder, and I copied that to the AG folder and it still doesn't work.
