dhjohns Posted November 24, 2015 Posted November 24, 2015 Look for a tool in Big Muscle's set called ModernFrame.dll for affecting the title bars on Modern Apps. -NoelOn the download page? I don't see anything there and if you're talking about the file in C:\AeroGlass what do I do with it?You open notepad, and paste this into it.Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\Windows]"AppInit_DLLs"="C:\\AeroGlass\\ModernFrame.dll""LoadAppInit_DLLs"=dword:00000001"RequireSignedAppInit_DLLs"=dword:00000000You can save it as this "ModernFrame.reg" with the quotes to your desktop. The file name should then be ModernFrame.reg with no other extension after it. Make sure in View File Types you have Hide Extensions for Known Applications unchecked. Double click on the file, and answer all questions in the affirmative. Then restart your computer.
NoelC Posted November 24, 2015 Posted November 24, 2015 ModernFrame.dll is not in the current .7z beta distribution. I see it's in the 491-64.7z file I downloaded on the 15th for build 491 but it's not in 506.7z. The ModernFrame.dll I am running successfully with Win 10 build 10586.11 is dated November 13 and is 1,776,640 bytes. I guess you have to keep up with downloading the various files provided by bigmuscle all during the ongoing beta testing to have a complete beta setup at this point. If you don't already have that ModernFrame.dll file, I don't see a place to get it (and my sincere apologies if I'm missing something obvious). I even tried piecing together a URL for 491 following the form for the 506 download (http://www.glass8.eu/out/491.7z or http://www.glass8.eu/out/491-64.7z) and there are no files there. -Noel
MineMasterHD Posted November 24, 2015 Posted November 24, 2015 That still doesn't work. (I did make sure I had ModernFrame.dll)
dhjohns Posted November 24, 2015 Posted November 24, 2015 (edited) That still doesn't work. (I did make sure I had ModernFrame.dll)Do you have secure boot turned off (in UEFI?) ModernFrame is in Aeroglass folder, right? You have it in your registry according to this post right? http://www.msfn.org/board/topic/174668-experimental-builds/?p=1112346 Edited November 24, 2015 by dhjohns

I'm talking about that other problem with the text and buttons being too small.
dhjohns Posted November 24, 2015 Posted November 24, 2015 (edited) Yes for all of those I think you're thinking of the wrong problem. I'm talking about that other problem with the text and buttons being too small. In your themeatlas.png.layout file you can change size of buttons by putting captionsize=<a number, I use 12> at the bottom of the list. My example is CaptionSize=12. Here are all the original titlebar settings in case you accidentally changed yours somehow. MineMasterHD Posted November 24, 2015 Posted November 24, 2015 Even with that, I still have the problem I mentioned a couple pages back with my modern app titlebars not taking advantage of all the space. 1

I don't think so since I tried the default Windows 10 theme and NoelC's squareborders theme (colored) and had the problem with both.

For the Windows theme, all I did was uncheck the Win8 Aero theme during setup of Aero Glass and kept the theme preinstalled with Windows 10, except with Aero Glass added to it. 1
Edivan Baptista Posted November 26, 2015 Posted November 26, 2015 We are awaiting the day in the final version .... Why it takes so ...!
Kelsenellenelvian Posted November 26, 2015 Posted November 26, 2015 Because MS keeps changing things and invalidating his methods? Do you want a version that works right or a version that might be problematic when a update is shoved down your throat? We are awaiting the day in the final version .... Why it takes so ...!
Nordberg_E38 Posted November 26, 2015 Posted November 26, 2015 (edited) Hi. First excuse my bad english as I am German. I upgraded today from "Win10 PRO 10240" to "Win10 PRO 10586" via Windows Update. After this I copied & renamed the DWMGlass64.dll from the #506 package to DWMGlass.dll inside the AG folder in.Therefore I needed to kill the Aero task via the taskmanager to avoid the "in use" confilct during the rename process. After the reboot of my Desktop-PC I now run in two problems.1. The DMW.exe DebugWindow together with the reminder telling me "!!! This is DEBUG version of Aero Glass Win8.1+ !!!" etc.. is present on the desktop. After confirming the info window of Desktop Windows Manager with the OK-Button the DebugWindow stays open and wont disappear. How can I get rid of this?2. The AG-Watermark appears on lower right on my Windows desktop. How is that? None of the above occured before. -- Regards Edited November 26, 2015 by Nordberg_E38
