Wolfshadow Posted October 27, 2014 Posted October 27, 2014 (edited) Huh, I do not understand the problem - you install debug version and then complain that it displays debug window? Maybe, I should select the testers more carefully next time. Not complaining about debug screen, just information of how it is working. With the donation key in windows 8.1 I have a watermark, but no watermark in windows 10 with a donation key. I expected the debug screen when windows is loaded, but wanted to report the DWM debug dialog box showing before the dual boot screen loads which would be an oddity would it not? This started to happen when I installed the 9600_9860pre-1414185002 files in windows 10 9860 build. It happens only at a cold boot up but does not happen during a warm/restart boot. I am sorry if you feel that you misplaced your trust in me as a tester. I felt you would like to know if it worked properly or if it did not. Edited October 27, 2014 by Wolfshadow
bigmuscle Posted October 27, 2014 Author Posted October 27, 2014 I'm sorry, maybe I just misunderstood you. Just had weird day today, I totally drove mad after several days of trying to make work new work laptop with Win8 1
Wolfshadow Posted October 27, 2014 Posted October 27, 2014 I'm sorry, maybe I just misunderstood you. Just had weird day today, I totally drove mad after several days of trying to make work new work laptop with Win8 NP...I just bought the wife a new laptop with windows 8.1 installed....she still pines for XP....lol. dhjohns Posted October 27, 2014 Posted October 27, 2014 (edited) What really frustrates me about this forum is that there are plenty of members who would give their left nut to test BM's programs as they are developed, and would provide excellent feedback. Microsoft recognizes that the more testers who provide feedback the better; hence it releases Technical Previews. Unfortunately this situation does not exist here. D@mn shame. My1 Posted October 27, 2014 Posted October 27, 2014 (edited) also to be honest BM called Aero Glass for Win8 itself "an experimental software that could stop working at any time" or similar... Essentially not much different from Aero4Win10 Edited October 27, 2014 by My1
megahjt Posted October 28, 2014 Posted October 28, 2014 Hi, BM. Your software is not working correctly on my computer. I really want to purchase and use it. Can you fix the issue? Thanks. mufunyo Posted October 28, 2014 Posted October 28, 2014 Interestingly, Romex Software Primo Ramdisk seems to have been the reason why AeroGlass wouldn't load symbols and the nag screen appeared. I've been having troubles updating to Build 9860 ("Getting ready" gets stuck at various percentages, different each time, and then the system reverts and shows 0xc1900101-0x2000c as the error code), and in trying to cut down on factors that might be preventing the update, I uninstalled Primo Ramdisk, which I used for my temp folders. Now AeroGlass works as expected. bigmuscle, do you write to %TEMP% at all?
megahjt Posted October 28, 2014 Posted October 28, 2014 Please read the 2nd post in this thread, megahjt. -Noel So if I purchase the full version the problem will be fixed automatically?
NoelC Posted October 28, 2014 Posted October 28, 2014 Just to be clear, you cannot purchase this software. You may be afforded certain privileges to access advanced features such as automatic symbol download if you donate a small sum to the author. That's what many of us have done, and the donation-enhanced software does work with the latest update of Windows. Also keep in mind that there is a new version on the horizon. I don't know for sure, but it may provide a better "try before you donate" experience than the current 1.2.5 version does. My advice to you is to read the last few dozen pages of this thread. There have been a lot of questions like yours asked and answered. -Noel

D@mn shame.Yes, it is a sad world , poor masses willing to test and provide feedback, but prevented from doing so by the evil plans of the developer ..... . jaclaz Edited October 28, 2014 by jaclaz
