Fixed a lot of issues, including:

- start menu showing on incorrect monitor

- start button sliding into another monitor

- start button stucking in pressed / hover states

- shutdown button Windows Update notify not applying sometimes

- start button / Windows key not working in very rare cases

This is the last RC planned. PandaX, can you please do debug log for your issue?

PID 3424 is explorer.exe. The key event is still going through, but even with the latest RC it's still not working all the time.

It's enough for me. Some third-party software is blocking taskbar communication. Is start button disjointed (not moving) if you move the taskbar?

The Rc2 also works with 8.1 RTM.

Feature request, but really just a thought not high priority at all. In StartIsBack+'s configuration, on the Start Menu settings, above the "Right side items" list it would be nice to have a radio selection box above the "middle" column (mostly "Link" and the others "Menu") to be able to select all of the middle ones en masse, if you understand my meaning. That's how I roll most of the time.

And I suppose if you implemented that, might as well have a "All Don't display" button over the left column, and over the right column I think it would be appropriate to have a "All Menu" button (not just the ones listed on the right, but those few with the Menu option in the middle column).

Edit: By the way, I suppose for the right side "All Menu" option, for those items which "Link" is the only option, perhaps it should select those too. Or maybe I'm just trying to make it too complicated!

The way it is now certainly isn't lacking - it's wonderful. If you like the idea, go for it, if not, eh *shrug*.

I tried the x86 version in a VM. Do you use the x64 version?

Just my luck I suppose. The install went through fine and restarted explorer, however start/winkey just opens the start screen and there's no Properties in the Win+X menu.

On x64 as well.

Do you mean that it doesn't show the advanced stuff (Windows 8.1's native right-click Start Button options) in Win+X or it literally doesn't show "Properties" (where we can configure StartIsBack+)?

It just doesn't show "Properties", the Win+X menu is just default.

If it was an upgrade install then try removing it and then installing it again, I had the same problem after I did a upgrade install on the 8.1 RTM leaked install.wim I managed to get the wim to install with many problems then just refreshed it again when the untouched ISO's were released, I don't know if it will help at all though, maybe even try Revo Uninstaller and make sure everything is removed and try again, also not sure if it makes any difference but I always select the install for everyone option.

Better don't touch anything and wait for the fixed release, if you experienced start button (Win key) not working issue on RTM.

As is RC2 should work on RTM with no issues.
