Dandee Posted November 20, 2010 Posted November 20, 2010 Hi Tihiy,I found a strange bug. If I print something on a Win98 machine without RP,the result is as expected. If I do the same on a machine with RP, it looksgarbled. I included scans of the two cases.http://www.baut.nl/rp9-print-a.jpghttp://www.baut.nl/rp9-print-b.jpgDandeeNote to the MSFN admins: I was not able to upload the images, using SeaMonkey 1.1.18 or FireFox 2.0.0.4. And dont't tell me to upgrade.Uploading is a very simple process. It works on even the most ancient browsers. I can see that you used a very nasty (java) work-around. Iknow someone who would call this an abomination. ;-)

Tihiy Posted November 20, 2010 Author Posted November 20, 2010 Revolutions Pack 9.7.0http://tihiy.net/files/RP9.exe- New: natural shell file name sorting;- New: Tahoma is shell font by default;- Fixed: small icon wasn't drawn for some applications;- Fixed: align to grid menu failed to work in some cases.
herbalist Posted November 20, 2010 Posted November 20, 2010 What exactly is natural shell file name sorting?
Svenne Posted November 20, 2010 Posted November 20, 2010 What exactly is natural shell file name sorting?I think it sorts files in folders by name automaticly?Anyway, since RP9 is fairly finished now, how about adding skinning for other GUI elements such as tabs?
Tihiy Posted November 20, 2010 Author Posted November 20, 2010 What exactly is natural shell file name sorting? On the right.
herbalist Posted November 20, 2010 Posted November 20, 2010 What exactly is natural shell file name sorting? On the right. Thanks for taking the time to make that image. That explains why I didn't notice the change. I've been so used to the way Windows sorts that I automatically number files 01, 02,....10, instead of using single digits. I'll be interested to see what it does with some of my numbering systems. Thanks for another good update.
loblo Posted November 20, 2010 Posted November 20, 2010 Very cool feature. First time I saw it was in Akelpad not long ago where it's called sort by integers and I thought it would be rather cool to have that in explorer as well but with little hope it would ever happen. Thanks Tihiy.

Tihiy Posted November 20, 2010 Author Posted November 20, 2010 Thanks for the file. If anyone else wants RP translation, you need to supply .lng translations (ansi) and .dll translations (unicode). There's no point in attaching translations strings here (like gerislamico did) since i'm unable to use them in right codepage.RP9 still lacks proper documentation, has some architecture flaws which require much more time than i have.

Tihiy Posted November 22, 2010 Author Posted November 22, 2010 The text prints fine with ClearType turned off in RPConfig. Well, ClearType is not so smooth. Which program you're printing from?
Dandee Posted November 23, 2010 Posted November 23, 2010 The text prints fine with ClearType turned off in RPConfig. Well, ClearType is not so smooth. Which program you're printing from?I tried both firefox and Windows WordPad. Is it possible to restrict ClearType to draw on the screen Device Context only?
Tihiy Posted November 23, 2010 Author Posted November 23, 2010 Is it possible to restrict ClearType to draw on the screen Device Context only? It is already restricted. Perhaps some driver or program is deceiving it.
CharlesF Posted November 23, 2010 Posted November 23, 2010 - Updating icons to XP/Vista-style, only "My Documents"-icon will be updated, but "My Computer" and "Network Area" icons will stay old.I guess this doesn't happen with English version of Win98. (I have Finnish-version.)(Of course they can be manually updated, but of course the program should update them all automatically after changing.)Hi t6ti00,if this bug is still boring you, look for the keys: For 'Network Area':HKEY_USERS\.DEFAULT\Software\Classes\CLSID\{208D2C60-3AEA-1069-A2D7-08002B30309D} For 'My Computer':HKEY_USERS\.DEFAULT\Software\Classes\CLSID\{20D04FE0-3AEA-1069-A2D8-08002B30309D} For 'My Docs':HKEY_USERS\.DEFAULT\Software\Classes\CLSID\{450D8FBA-AD25-11D0-98A8-0800361B1103} For 'Recycle Bin':HKEY_USERS\.DEFAULT\Software\Classes\CLSID\{645FF040-5081-101B-9F08-00AA002F954E}They are overwriting RPConfig settings. If you find them, you will have to delete them (Backup FIRST!) or at least the related key:HKEY_USERS\.DEFAULT\Software\Classes\CLSID\{ ... }\DefaultIconHTH
