She is in the hospital from several bouts with cancer the first one in 1974. Each bout with cancer left her battered and weakened. In the early days of fighting cancer doctors wernt sure how much radiation is needed to kill cancer without damaging healthy cells.It saved her life but slowly over the years it was killing nerve cells starting in her legs and moving up. Moms spirit was strong even though her body was getting weaker.3 years ago she fell and broke her hip, this took quite a toll on her and she had to stop working. I kept her spirits up by taking her places and was working well.In september mom broke her ankle. She went through surgery and rehab and was home in november. She was so happy to be home. My mom and dad has been married ror 52 years and my dad is in good health.Mom wanted to get some christmas decorations out of the closet and asked my dad to help her, he refused. She decided to get them herself. She fell and broke her leg (she is very fragile). She had surgery and was very hard on her.I went to visit her yesterday in the hospital (everyday in fact) she said she felt tired and ill.Eayly this morning dad called and said mom was in CCU. She had a ventalator, feeding tube and all kinds of IV's to get her blood pressure up and stable.I am kind of mad. If dad would have got off his a** and help mom with decorations she wouldnt be in the shape she is in now. I love my dad but I am mad. I know it is wrong to resent him for this. Don’t blame any one, if you blame them it’s harder to forgive and you will drag it for the rest for you life with you.I don’t know if this helps, but there are people here on MSFN that would love to help you and I’ll be one of them...Be strong, and keep thinking positive although it’s kind of hard now... Sometimes it's the littlest actions that bring about the most dramatic change in people's lives. But he doesn't deserve that kind of blame, and you already know that.Time is often the best medicine. Focus on helping your mom, not blaming your dad. She needs both of you right now. I don't think your mom should switch medications for Cimo Thearpy since the body is already suing on medicine.Speaking of which somebody is like a mom figure passed away from cancer. It was devistating. I know this is not a good thing but you should consider checking your mom if she has a will and that everybody knows what to do if the worst ever arise. You should try to see if that cancer treatment where they implant metal and then heat up only those cells.About Radiation they usted to sell it in stores one time but after WWII I am guessin that is a thing of the past. I know it is going to hurt if that ever occurs.Speaking of weak your mom sound very seriously ill and should never life anything at all.You should try and be with your mom every chance you get. I hugged somebody who had cnacer and snap there back but they was okay and yet I never knew how much they was hurting inside.never mix drugs also. Back along time ago the doctors didnt know how to kill cancer without a lot of harm to the body. She survived many bouts with cancer, the first in 1974. IncludingHodgenkinsLymphomaBreastIt has severly weakened her body.She has congestive heart failure as a result of the nerve damage radiation has done. He worked for a company in the 70's and 80's that produced insulation containing asbestos. Back then there weren't as much OSHA concerns back then. One week he looks healthy, the next not.Doctors and the pharma are more into treatments and not cures. It's all about the money and it is a shame.I'm not being of much help here. I don't know what to say to you except that I can relate. Spend as much time as you can with your Mother and let her know you love her.I'm not a religious person but I do pray once in a while.
