cool400 Posted April 30, 2008 Posted April 30, 2008 @damianIs it possible to install Vistapack with the silent-switch "/S" via WPI after a fresh, unattended XP-install?Are there any more switches?Best regardscool400
damian666 Posted April 30, 2008 Author Posted April 30, 2008 well, it should be no problem man.it can be installed after install, and thats when wpi is executed so...and no, not more switches man.damian666
Squeeto Posted May 3, 2008 Posted May 3, 2008 maybe we should do a sort of a contest, of login screensThis is the boot screen I have been using. I found it on the net somewhere and cleaned it up a touch to not look like only 16 colors.
damian666 Posted May 3, 2008 Author Posted May 3, 2008 it looks cool, but maybe a little to much...but i will take it for myself man oh and guys, the vistapack works great on sp3.tested myself.Damian666p.s. only uxtheme doesnt work, but you can get my uxtheme patcher in this same forum
Squeeto Posted May 3, 2008 Posted May 3, 2008 but i will take it for myself manHere it is. It is not my work; I just cleaned it up. I could probably find the source if you really need it.If you want the all black pallet versions, so that it doesn't flash on the screen, let me know. The black pallet ones are for when you hack ntoskrnl. Also note that the progress bar position matches Vista.1.bmp8.bmp
mara- Posted May 4, 2008 Posted May 4, 2008 (edited) What about real Vista boot?I know that somebody will say that it is bad, but the goal of Vistapack is to transform XP as closest as possible to Vista, right? So you may consider this damian. Link from WinCert Forum. Also, you might add OOBE patching to your pack. There are few nice OOBE's at WinCert again, here is the link. I prefer this one:You may ask authors for permission there, I'm sure that they will agree.Cheers Edited May 4, 2008 by mara-
damian666 Posted May 4, 2008 Author Posted May 4, 2008 hi mara , thanx man, and yes you are right for the greatest part of it...but a little freedom in the resource is needed man, because not all is found in vista.but you have a point man.i wont promise anything Damian666
mara- Posted May 4, 2008 Posted May 4, 2008 OK, I hope that your next version is coming soon, since I want to use it on SP3 and you mentioned somewhere that few files are not patched.Cheers
Squeeto Posted May 5, 2008 Posted May 5, 2008 What about real Vista boot?Even the real Vista guys don't want the real Vista boot
