Old game but someone asked me to load it on their XP box after I was done repairing their PC. One of my friends told me he never could get it to work with XP. Matter of fact he sold his Myst III Exile package to the very person I am doing the repair work for, ha, imagine that. I learned that the developer, Ubi Soft, does not provide support for XP. So I felt a challenge to get it to work on XP and this is how I did it. 1. Install all four CDs. You may not have to install all four CDs but I did. 2. Download and install the latest patch from www.myst.com, m3patch122_us. The patch has nothing to do with XP, but it is needed for some Intel 810 chipsets, that this PC uses. 3. Open Windows Explorer (do not confuse with Internet Explorer) and navigate to Program Files, Myst III Exile, Bin. Open the folder "Bin". 4. Find a file named M3. Right-Click the file and select Properties from the drop down menu. The M3 Properties applet opens and you will see a tab "Compatibility". Left-Click the Compatibility tab. 5. You will see "Compatibility mode". Tick the small box "Run this program in compatibility mode for:" 6. Select Windows 98 / Windows ME in the drop down menu. Select apply. Select OK. Reboot the PC. 7. Here is the convention. I could play the game only if I insert the CD into the CD-ROM drive and select Play Game from the menu. The game will not play at all if I select it from the Windows Program Menu. I noted that multiple instances of the m3.exe run and crash the game if I exit the game and restart it. So, anytime you need to exit and want to play the game in the same session it just will not work. All this means is you have to reboot the PC after exiting the game to resume game-play. Thats the easy way. The alternative is to open Windows Task Manager and close three files that do not unload properly, devldr32.exe, ~ef7194.tmp, and m3.exe. You have to select each file and click the End Process button until the game restarts. It is easier to simply restart the PC. Hey it works

xper, we have lost American lives in Bosnia. I think that means we are there right. I saluted the caskets of those soldiers. I have been to the region myself and have seen the mass graves with my own eyes. I have been to the the American hospital in Germany and given blankets and food to family members that accompanied their injured children to the hospital. There was no oil involved. There was no money involved.

The past conflict between NATO and Iraq was "not" originally about oil. It was about a country (Kuwait) that was attacked by another country (Irag) for the oil. Kuwait requested assistance from NATO. NATO took many months trying to convence Iraq to leave Kuwait. During those months NATO assembled their military forces to enforce the NATO doctorine. When NATO decided to utilize their NATO forces they called upon the USA to lead. We all know what happened next. NATO forced the Iraq Army out of Kuwait and marched into Irag. NATO stopped the incursion before the invasion entered a civilian population. NATO pulled back and made some rules. The rules basically say: Do not cross this line. Do not throw rocks across the line. Do not assemble weapons of mass destruction in accordance with NATO manifesto. Iraq responded by saying "Ok." Later, NATO discovered Iraq was assembling weapons of mass destruction and intended to target three countries. USA, Saudi Arabia, and England. NATO yelled foul! Siest and decist. Iraq responded by bombing a NATO Barracks within Saudi Arabia killing US Soldiers, The Queens Soldiers, and Sauia Arabian Soldiers to include civilians. NATO responded by yelling foul! Iraq continued to assemble weapons of mass destruction. Sept 11 was upon us. We asked NATO to stand with us as we stood with NATO and dispell Iraq and Pakistan. NATO said you may have Pakistan. We took Pakistan and learned that Iraq was also behind Sept 11 and possibly harboring SH. Then USA and England requested that NATO move on Iraq. NATO responded with a firm NO! Not before NATO confirms that Iraq and SH would not utilize undiscovered weapons of mass destruction on the world. So we wait. We assemble. We prepare. We grow hungry. We grow thirsty. We hear things move in the night. We hear 9/11 victims in our sleep. We watch our borders. We live in fear. We kiss our children goodbye in the mornings hopeing we will see them again at the end of the day. Are you next?

They have been around and the reviews are great. I asked a Klan member for his suggestion because he knows I sux at games. Maybe this will help. www.belkin.com makes it and there are other models but this is the best.

I can't get the hang of those things. I crash and burn everytime to tell the truth. The flying is going to be my hardest part. I plan on just getting from point A to B and if that don't work I'll crash it into a tank or something, LOL. But I am hoping this will be ok. Maybe I'll get the sidewinder later if this does not work out. Also thinking about strapping the keypad to my hand with some velcro. I gotta play this game!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I don't about the UK, but here in Germany they are usually right about shipping schedules. At least in all my experiences with them. Let us know what you think about it after you have had time to use it. It is one of our upcoming hardware reviews

Yea, I read about that last week. I guess the people who posted comments do not know that you can use Internet Explorer for other purposes. Actually, it never fails to amaze me that some people have not figured out that if you can use a web application to view content on a distant computer then the same web application with a few lines of code can also be used to view the contents on their own computer.
