  1. There are the drivers for your processor graphics: https://downloadcenter.intel.com/download/21414/
  2. That is the identifier for NT Authority context, which is stored in C:\Windows\ServiceProfiles\NetworkService\NTUSER.DAT. So you would need to mount that hive and add keys to it, then unmount.
  3. Using DISM /online /add-package options https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/windows-hardware/manufacture/desktop/dism-operating-system-package-servicing-command-line-options
  4. We have an entire sub-forum for this already https://msfn.org/board/forum/24-windows-desktops-screenshots/
  5. For whichever situation is applicable to you, post the make/model of: - motherboard + cpu (if using onboard video) - notebook (or notebook + cpu if using whitebook) - video card
  6. This is not the expected behaviour. There is no functional difference between LTSC and say... Enterprise or even a retail SKU. There is something wrong with your installation if this type of thing is happening to you.
  7. I show for you: 1.8 MB of 1.95 MB allowance for attachments. You can view your attachments here: https://msfn.org/board/attachments/
  8. I've actually seen this myself. When this happens, you can find in event viewer that Steam.exe vetoes the Shutdown request! I just make sure to exit Steam before shutting down.
  9. Windows 10 is not full UEFI, neither was Windows 8. Windows only has an EFI bootloader using the same basic methods as Vista and Windows 7. The OS itself is still "legacy" (hence why it still has stuff from XP in it) and only has the ability to hook into UEFI features. To put it this way, if Windows 10 was actually an EFI application, it would be impossible to image/convert a Windows partition between EFI/GPT and BIOS/MBR disks and be able to get it to boot. You can do that now because when you do this type of conversion, you only need to change the bootloader to get the OS to boot.
  10. This site is almost 20 years old, it is not that surprising. There are many accounts that I have made on other forums and not gone back to. There is not enough time in the day to be posting on forums, especially as you get older. Times change and people do different things.
  11. Why don't you put in the solution that you found?
  12. What the designers at MS want to do, and then what the developers are told to do, as well as what the execs resign themselves to be able to do (market-wise) are totally different things. What I get from what little birdies tell me is that a plan was put into motion to do a thing, then was "rolled back" at least partially and then bandaids are put in along the way. So in this instance, I fully believe that GDI/+ was intended to be removed, a decision that came about from the planning stages of UEFI 2.3.1, and work on the new system almost certainly was started and does exist within the OS. But the decision to fully cut out GDI was rescinded and they left a compatibility layer in place.
  13. This isn't a blog.
  14. I use whatever OS is required for the software I want or have to run. If I have a Win7 computer and the software works on that, then that is what I will use. Of course I have a Windows 10 computer at the office and also on one of my personal notebooks, so if I really did need it for something I can use those. But a software requiring Windows 10 must be really something I care to use before I'd consider replacing the OS on one of my main systems.
  15. GDI was considered a "legacy" product since around when Windows 8 came about. Even in the lead up to Windows 8, it was in their pre-release plan to get rid of GDI entirely and replace it with some other thing which I forgot the name. Their focus is now currently on DirectxD related APIs and it does not surprise me in the least that something like GDI has been mostly left to rot away.
  16. I haven't run into anything but I do not use a lot of the options anyways. The surefire way to know would be to create an CLG on an 1809 image, and XML with everything added. Then mount a current build image and apply the XML to it and see what the validator says. I do know that MS doesn't document everything, such as when they made XML objects case sensitive.
  17. Do not create duplicate threads. Your other thread was deleted. Moving to correct category.
  18. Awhile ago I had won a culture victory where the victory conditions were only Culture or Domination. It was a learning experience for sure. I'm doing some challenge called 52 games where basically you play a new game and try to beat it every week. My game from this week (Alien: Isolation) was actually from last week so I'm spending the rest of this week playing Skyrim again.
  19. Yes it is v1.3. As far as Kongregate goes for me currently, in Chrome, Flash doesn't load, it just shows the Supernova thing. I haven't checked it since a few days ago so maybe it changed. When I tried to go to the game page in Pale Moon, the site doesn't load properly, even if I temp allow all scripts. Unfortunately, I am not going to be changing my security setup in order to play a game. I've had to make the decision to just not visit sites or play games that do not work with my security settings, so it is no big deal on that end. Times change and life goes on. And yes, the high scores table on the game page. Really it is the only reason to bother playing it. I am fully aware of Projector, I've made apps using it in the past, including an actual software installer for a commercial product.
  20. Done Not available.
  21. From reading Kongregate's forum, where there is some sort of Supernova liason present, they give away what their plug-in is doing. It seems to work best with "simple" Flash applications, such as ones that are self contained, or link to objects using relative paths. They specifically note that some links can't be followed, it is a cryptic response. The problem they have is with any .swf that is linking scenes or resources in the ActionScript may not work properly. This issue with ActionScript is also why you can encounter some .swf that do not work properly anymore, or do not work locally on your machine if saved. Various resources could be linking to external .swf (scene based .swf uses a container and loads individual .swf for scenes after transition to keep file sizes down), linking to audio or video resources, fonts, CSS, XML, etc using either relative or fully-qualified paths to same or external domain. Now any emulator is not going to be able to know about any of that because the ActionScript is compiled into the SWF when built by Flash or another tool. It can be viewed by decompiling the SWF, but only if it isn't obfusicated obviously. So the Supernova guy stated that he knows it doesn't work with all games, and they are "working" on getting additional ones working. Obviously in terms of Kongregate, they are only going to be bothering with the high traffic games and anything on the low end is probably going to be ignored. So I'm guessing their solution has some sort of general use, and then they add in specific compatibilities for specific games on Kongregate. The game I play is Drop Sum v1.2 on Basic mode with Leaderboard. I started it long time ago on Facebook before their XSS debacle, then it went to Mindjolt where it worked up until a year or two ago when they sold the domain and the purchasers decided to delete the site content. Then I went to Kongregate and the game worked fine for some time, although their leaderboard does not work properly (it saves latest score, not best score). I can find the game on other sites, but they seem to be drive-by sites. Most do not have leaderboards, or only have the Arcade mode enabled.... which is "fine" but not as relaxing as Basic mode. Last straw for me would be to just find the webhosting package and install it on a webserver on my home network and just play it on my own terms. Only losing out on the battle of the leaderboards aspect of it.
  22. Do not create duplicate topics!
  23. Closed poll and closed topic. The poll is useless, especially concerning the fact that the first option includes computers that can't possibly run Windows 7.
