  1. Update your WPI then. And ask for help in the WPI forum.
  2. Gouki, I read that article and it doesn't quite seem to do the above. IPsec applies for the entire computer (all users). The above post wants a way to restirct a specific user account from accessing the internet!
  3. Everest system monitoring can audit the software installed on yours & the network's PCs. screenshots info And EULAlyser to analyse the licenses of all the apps you use.
  4. Update to the borg edition 5.0 - you're still on 4.1 currently, it seems. And asking help with warez here is not allowed, read the rules! Next time you try it, BAN !!!
  5. Thanks for posting your experiences! Moving this topic to the hardware hangout.
  6. So whats funny about this? (note that you've posted this in funny farm)
  7. Unattended options already exist! Just run "setup.exe /admin" to make a custom choice of installed components & enter in key, to install silently from next time.
  8. Thats the way it is, you'll just have to ignore it!
  9. Thanks for the report! topic moved. 5519- Well, I'd just integrate those updates into office install-source & re-install.
  10. kamran- why's it so difficult for u? 1. set your sound scheme, save the .theme file. 2. export over your sounds & .theme file to CD, using $OEM$ folder structures. 3. finally apply the theme thru winnt.sif, to make it the default. GUIDE - http://unattended.msfn.org/unattended.xp/view/web/76/
  11. Exactly! The first post in the thread I linked to, is VERY level-headed & reasonable indeed, no bias!
  12. He's yet another of those paralysed critics. And before you go to praise *nix.... Let me state I have no idea how ubuntu is doing so well. I installed it on my system, and it insisted on using the nv driver, which wouldn't work for my newer (geforce 6100) card, and it did not even have the frame-buffer X-server, to use for fallback. Fine, i said, and downloaded the latest nvidia drivers. But since ubuntu uses a newer kernel, the pre-compiled binaries wouldn't work & I had to tell it compile driver from source. But then, BAMM, ubuntu does not have kernel sources on CD. Nor GCC. I happened to be skilled enough to download those as well & get it all working fine, but what about those who expect things to "just work" ?
  13. http://forum.linspire.com/viewtopic.php?t=420162 Read it - highly recommended. I get the feeling this guy is right. And that the people whining about "too many vistas" have a paralysed brain....
  14. The rest aren't "signed" drivers, so its bad for uA CDs.Looks like i wont be using it just yet - i'll wait out the 2 weeks that it takes, for them to release a fully-WHQL driver for all cards.
  15. Tried orkut? Or need an invite? How many of you are already on orkut? And those of you who're already using it, whats your thoughts?
  16. Use the unattended guide (link on top). Read the sticky topic in this forum. And in no time, you'd have made it yourself.
  17. Well, most of us got our SLEEP from here - http://unattended.msfn.org/unattended.xp/view/web/10/ - and its confirmed to work, whereas other tools may not work under all conditions.
  18. I believe sleep supports only 2 digits. (not sure if upto 60 only, or more) In any case, you wouldn't need to hold out for more than 60 seconds. Your usage is correct, but just try this instead: sleep 60 And have you ensured sleep.exe is in the System32 folder?
  19. No idea if its a rip or not, but I'm running it & VERY impressed with office 2007 (betas).
  20. I suggest this - LINK Do post back your results!
  21. Main box - Vista betas (updated every few weeks). Secondary box - XPSP2.
  22. From what I've seen, its as good as not applying the patch at all, it will be needing a re-apply of that patch again after installing (excel/any-other-component).
