  1. Interesting, so since I only have 2 sata ports, I can only have 2 sata drives running.....
  2. I don't know what crack you smoke but I've completely normal install of XP Pro SP2....only thing tweaked is my Processor LOL and my whole system will shutdown (timed 2 and from the Desktop) and fully restart and be DONE loading in less than 39 seconds.....
  3. uh, the guy wasn't complaining about being able to read from a damaged CD....he was talking about not being able to burn a Multisession CD! where'd the translation get lost in all of this?
  4. I never put a CD/DVD Drive as a Slave on the same IDE Channel. I have my HardDrives On IDE0 and my cd/dvd drives on IDE1 My Main Drive as Master and a Backup Drive as Slave My CD Player as Primary Secondary and my CD/DVD Burner as Slave Secondary. I learned from experience I can get faster response times by doing this as supposed to my Main Drive As Master Primary and my Burner as Slave Primary etc. Quite honestly, IDE0 is redundant to me now as I've finally switched to Sata! (yay!)
  5. I conquer.....I refuse to use Antivirus software for the main reason it bogs it down....now I've heard AVG is pretty good.......haven't used it as of yet but still......no viruses on my computer for the last 8 years.....
  6. You could also try looking for any firmware "flash" updates for the CD Writer....I know that most companies are pretty good for this. It works as follows: Utility to communicate with the writer XXXX.FLASH FILE to u/g the Firmware Does a quick communication test Restart the computer Tried finding a quicklink for you....can't....what brand is the CD Writer? Possibly the CD Writing program isn't function correctly as well?
  7. that good? LOL...i've no idea. I've just recently hooked up Sata and have no clue .... if memory serves me correctly, I remember that my IDE Drive Maxtor 160GB had a transfer rate I believe was 92MB/s at best
  8. well guys, I know that my ST3250620AS have 1.5 or 3.0....I've removed the jumper for 3.0 speed....noticed the transfer rate is much better however I highly doubt I'm able to transfer 3GB/sec
  9. Aren't transfer rates far more superior with Sata? and what 's the diff between Sata and SataII?
  10. Try using Installshield 12...i do (Vista Ready)...you can download a trial version right off their website
  11. Could I please get a copy of the AMS 5.0 Autoplay w/ project layout....please?

  15. sweet....thanks, it turned out the CD Copy I had was corrupted....<shrugs>...and when I extracted the folders from the corrupted CD Image, files were missing or unreadable
  16. I know that PVR2000 will work, so here's drivers for both the PVR2000 and TV2000XP Expert...maybe someone can "manipulate" or even adjust the drivers so that TV2000XP Expert has BDA? ftp://198.64.149.232/tv_tuner/PVR2000/051128/6108-WHQLed.zip <PVR2000 BDA/WDM Drivers ftp://198.64.149.232/tv_tuner/tv2000xp_ex...28/TV2KXPEX.zip <TV2000XP Expert Drivers
  17. To add to this, here's some of the hotfixes I'm applying to my CD Copy: The /integrate procedure isn't working on these one's either: KB873333 KB885835 KB885836 KB886185 KB887472 KB888302 KB890046 KB890859 KB891781 KB893756 KB894391 KB896344 KB896358 KB896423 KB896424 KB896428 KB898461 KB899587 KB899589 KB899591 KB900485 KB900725 KB900930 KB901017 KB901214 KB902400 KB904706 KB904942 KB905414 KB905749 KB908519 KB908531 etc... etc...
  18. I even tried that, and it STILL won't work Here's a basic breakdown of my CD and it's location. p.s. the hotfix no. I used on my previous post is made up...doesn't work with any of the 71 hotfixes I'm trying to apply.what the heck is going on? RUNNING WindowsXP VRMPOEM_EN SP2 C:\XPCD C:\XPCD\I386
  19. Run... C:\HOTME\KB896401.exe /integrate:C:\XPCD\i386 any hotfix I try to integrate, gives me this darn error What the heck do I do?
  20. That was an ingenius answer ....do you think it could be possible to either create bda drivers for this tv tuner or even possibly "trick" mce into using the tuner card?
  21. Think it's possible to repost the download for grabs again? as your old links are dead now :'(
  22. Can anyone PLEASE help me out with this? as MCE2005 says the following: TV2000XP Expert Edition TV/FM Tuner comes with WDM Drivers but still it won't recognize thru MCE2005....WHY?!??! WHY?!?!
  23. Tried the recompiling of ehshell.res, but got this error: Method Implementations <total>: 135 Resolving member refs: 87710 -> 87710 defs, 0 refs CUTRES : fatal error CVT1105: cannot seek in file Could not create output file, error code=0x80070714 ***** FAILURE ***** anyone be able to help with this? Also, the download for ehshell.res you had posted just directs me to the forum and not the download....anyway you could post a new d/l for it? And can anyone figure a way I can get my LeadTek WinTV2000XP Expert to run on MCE2005? it does come with WDM Drivers, but MCE still isn't detecting the **** card :S Even checked for new drivers for d/l.......and I have to admit, I hate using they're PVR Software (LOL))
