  1. r3incarnat0r, yeah that's what I would like too sunnyboymark, I'm even using vLite as my internal codename but that's not so catchy. How about nLite VE, like Vista Edition?
  2. And now they dispute it: http://www.theinquirer.net/default.aspx?article=35140
  3. Vista word isn't owned by MS, it's normal English noun http://wordnet.princeton.edu/perl/webwn?s=vista Windows Vista is however owned by MS.
  4. Ok I'm having the naming issue...it was planned to be named Veestah (Vista + Cheetah, don't laugh ) but some people told me it's not that wise, what do you think, is 'nLite for Vista' better? Maybe shorter like 'nLite Vista'...hmm even makes sense.
  5. boooggy, lol thanks Ace_NoOne, It's out in a two-three weeks and only minor fixes so if your virtual test goes fine just do it with the RC. I won't repeat the same mistake of dragging RCs by adding features into it.
  6. Camarade_Tux, lol good point. PoserOfAllTrades, it's already made, but it requires time to be ready for public, also it will need final tweaking when final Vista is released. When you're all so eager, judging by the new topic every few days regarding this subject, I could release it a little earlier for you to play with it. Don't ask when but when someone else asks will there be one, tell them yes.
  7. LLXX, they didn't withdrew WGA for end users and the purpose of it is to scan for illegal sales which sometimes go at full prices pretending to be the original, not for businesses. Businesses even have corporate edition which they don't even need to activate (obvious fact I know). Businesses are checked by the specialized people for that from withing every country (in case you don't know for that control it's not MS, it's just something like tax control).
  8. RogueSpear, argh for the bug, hip hip for the versioning Lamer, it's really Comtrol, ok about popup. nLite scans the file, nothing I do there. If it's not really limited then don't worry about it what is scanned at the place where is the value for the limit. Keep it as current (10) or put at default for it not to touch the file. blackspawn, thx fixed Camarade_Tux, too much Fixed the icon, turned off auto sort in tweaks. I right click on services page and choose the option...it works for multiple selections also. ssjkakaroto, ok gonna try that sequence BoogieMan, using clean installation files and use only 1.2RC will solve your problem, nlhive is not used by nlite any more. Lemonzest, heh reading your first message...downloading sp2 beta...oh hold on second message...dopamine injection Avneet, what bugs? I'm not saying that there aren't any, especially in tweaks - visual...but what is that what you're waiting to be fixed? ricktendo64, thanks but top Digg stories get from 1000-2000 votes...those are seen by millions.
  9. RTM Yeah I read your message before, no need to double post. Thx for the report
  10. Since that's normal nvidia file I don't see any reason for it to be the cause of the problem. Lets see about your method of install, I'm not saying that it's your fault, it's more like unexplored area from my side. What is exactly "Upgrade installation form within XP", what did you upgrade, your already installed XP or 2k...if you did, even from 2k please don't, install it clean by booting from the cd. You may test it in virtual machine first.
  11. Copy it, nlite would do the same.
  12. Thank god it seems it's not true http://www.winsupersite.com/showcase/winvista_licensing.asp
  13. Doesn't that "You may use it only to reinstall the software" means no touchy? edit: Good, it seems it's not true: http://www.winsupersite.com/showcase/winvista_licensing.asp
  14. Yeah...well you can help by executing nlite.inf while inside blackbox and eliminating the lines from it which causes that then post here which they were...then either you burn the cd with edited nlite.inf or i change a little. You can test nlite.inf with this command: rundll32 advpack.dll,LaunchINFSection nLite.inf,U or/and rundll32 advpack.dll,LaunchINFSection nLite.inf,C For U edit [T] section, for C edit [CT]
  15. I agree guys, good that you all spanked it so well, gonna change that.
  16. I would like to help but first I never got this error and second whomever I asked to repeat it they said it's ok now, it's random...well...
  17. Thanks. It's nice when application reports which file is missing then it's no problem.
  18. Since it's sp2 cd you're missing win51ip.SP2 But why play with file by file just copy all root files, they are not big.
  19. dafreaking, test in virtual first, if the vm runs, and reset all services to default if you played with it...if not it can be anything.
  20. Try this exactly please: Uninstall within Add/Remove programs all versions of Framework you have. Then delete these folders: C:\WINDOWS\Microsoft.NET C:\WINDOWS\assembly Then reboot and reinstall only Framework 2.0...it must work.
  21. nuhi

    T-39 error

Rogon3, good, do you maybe know what was the issue?
  22. Vanger, can you post a link to those drivers then if I get the same error it will be fixed.
  23. Also user Sonic says that deleting INFCACHE.1 from windows\inf folder might help also.
  24. Or regedit /S file.reg also in the runonce page. But where to copy file.reg...I guess $oem$ folder but haven't tried it... you may test that with just adding cmd as one of the runonce lines...when it opens command line windows you'll see current path.
