  1. Ports are most of them, maybe all..try disabling unused ports in the Bios...focus only on Parallel (LPT) and Serial COM ports. Don't blame me if you disable something you needed. But those unrecognized devices are nothing to worry about if you have all you expected. I had Firewire listed like that also until disabled in the Bios.
  2. Alternatives don't need VBS, only full Quicktime does.

    Drivers

MGadAllah, just a tiny note...you can copy-paste just [Components] section from the preset you used in nlite\presets folder, no need to do screenshot of the list.
  4. This bug only affects you if you want to use nlite with a switch, if you make it manually like clicking next---next... then don't mind this. It's like some installer.exe /S will install automatically... HtheG, fixed already, it was hard to find but worth it since it was just one mistake, not silly though, something with parallel threads.
  5. hm true...gonna fix, thx for reporting.
  6. I had the same However simple search revealed that it's missing VBScripting. Without reinstalling you can restore it by extracting vbscript.dl_ from the full cd into system32 folder and register it with command: regsvr32 vbscript.dll
  7. I can only confirm what gkar said, it's 99% that. Maybe wrongly detecting the proper clock or you did it yourself...just uninstall it, reboot and install new one.
  8. There was a hotfix released for that, sorry I don't know the exact link so go to the microsoft.com and search.
  9. It's IE7's "fault" and I don't see anything messy about it. Same thing happens on normal windows while you see that welcome message "applying settings" or something which takes longer the first time than normal logon.
  10. Did you really used nlite 1.0 RC8 ? I'm not supporting old versions.

    Drivers

Removing drivers, harmless, well maybe not only for printers, some use parts from bundled drivers. But don't mix up Hardware Support section with drivers, this one is dangerous.
  12. Quisquose, was it nlite's fault? How about posting the offending line.
  13. I don't know why this happens on Russian versions only and even this solution was posted years ago. Just apply it after install and don't worry. Or it may be some language removed, try once with all langs and keyboards kept.

    msstyles support?

Semiono, it does supports it but put it in the separate folder with WHOLE theme extracted as it was when you downloaded it, don't just integrate msstyles file.
  15. 1) I do that lately all the time and never regretted it 2) Never needed that also, you will be fine. Oh I think that's needed for IE7...anyway just select compatibilities you need
  16. nLite reads that info directly from a file so if theme works don't worry about it.
  17. Interesting request. I'll put it aside for later if I get some time for this luxury
  18. You must keep direct hotfixing enabled in hotfix-advanced options.
  19. Hm kinda weird. Can anyone else confirm?
  20. Sure, if I manage to repeat it. edit: it won't reapply patch no matter what is selected if that combobox is disabled. How does that error manifest itself?
  21. 3aces, don't worry I'll check it, and if you haven't modified it with anything else, and it's RTM then I'll fix it. Mcfly000, ok. Lets reset. Obviously you are not stupid, it's just you didn't know how to post a bug report. So, the point is to post what the error was, no need for anything else until asked for more details around it. Thanks.
  22. Jeremy, are you serious? Mcfly000, thx for trying better but that "tipical mesaage registry error report" is the thing which is like solution to me. What is it the exact error message? Maybe you could try apply method 1, it could work, only thing different is larger ISO. 3aces, again you with WLM Ok I'll try it...I would do it sooner if anyone else confirmed it. Thx dexter.inside, I have no intentions of making tutorial how to mimic vLite. Worked on it for months until I got it. Call me selfish but that's how it is. Way as the vLite develops seems perfect to me, I don't see the point in removing all at once, that would have so much bugs that no one would be able to keep track of. Gonna check that dll but I'm not that keen on changing pics to prove control. And sorry for my tone in case you don't like this direct approach. edit: oh I see you p***ed the Mcfly000...note to self: less jokes.
  23. Mcfly000, that's so informative, if you want it fixed you'll have to do little better.
  24. Jeronimo, yeah, I figured since one removes Help he doesn't want the button on the start menu, if you want help just press F1, generally speaking. If some of you have a problem with this and want help on start menu tweak separated then freely spit it out.
  25. TheTOM_SK, I got that too then I switched to VMR9 output in MPC and it worked. Is it normal that Vista doesn't have overlay ?
