winnt.exe is the only method which needs 8char file names and since not much people are running it like that I chose not to work that extra. Try winnt32 or boot from cd.
What is exactly problem here? You remove IE core, it doesn't recognize the html then, it's like any other file to download, unless you use some third party browser which gets set as default browser.
frederikshavn, usually you can remove whatever you want and no errors should come up but I guess in your case you had SP1 and integrated SP2 over it, right? I'm just guessing because that was the main cause for the missing files and heck I still haven't managed to repeat the issue in my tests.
When I see so much configured services there is nothing else to recommend than try with reseting all to default ( in services page ) and remake it from the clean installation files again. Static IP will also work of course.
Quisquose, I just tried your setup in the VMWare and it worked. But I didn't want to download all those hotfixes. So, you could download VPC or trial VMWare and see is it hotfixes or your pc somehow. Meaning if it works in virtual then you'll have to play with that bios little more...or something... I used 1.3beta.
Ok, ok Could be due to unreadiness of the chipset drivers...try integrating all possible chipset drivers for your model, especially agp filter. Or don't remove it in the first place...if you do, I'm just guessing.
jamieo, nice! How about we do selective tweak...for example to see which is that font which overlaps too much and leave that one out and exchange others which benefit from it. But I don't know any more...your votes say Yes but I'm still against it after these last shots.
There is nothing to fix, it's just dependency. As Jeronimo said use Protect Files option on the Components page. If you need more instructions just ask.
