  1. My thoughts on CDIMAGE: The -o switch is never a problem for me. If the disc does not appear to be bootable on some computers, it probably has to do with the BIOS settings. Optimizing the files should not mess up the boot image. Images can indeed be burned to DVDs. I've used CDIMAGE for a multiboot DVD, and it works perfectly when I burn it with dvdburn (Microsoft command-line tool).
  2. In all my tests, no problems occurred with slipstreaming those hotfixes you're talking about. The WUA20 file should not go in HFSVPK_SW as it doesn't work with /Q:A /R:N switches. That error you received with KB905915: did you get the error as a pop-up message or in setuperr.log? Sometimes, additional errors appear in setuperr.log that are not really major errors and are *supposed* to happen.
  3. Running on the VM should not be much of a factor. However, your computer definitely shouldn't reboot and completely restart Windows Setup. It should get into the whole "Windows Welcome" business.
  4. You mean it should not have a little checkbox by it if IE6 is not selected.By the way, Sereby does have scriptde.exe. However, he has it as a CAB file (SCRIPTDE.CAB) in HFCABS.
  5. danod, you shouldn't experiment (I know, you're experimenting ) with putting the INF files in HFSVPK. They are *dynamically* generated by HFSLIP based on the hotfixes you have. Oh, by the way, it's not exactly a typo. Whoever created that part of the script named it so.
  6. Wow, you both posted at the same time . OK, then, hope you get the problem solved!
  7. Yes, creating HFEXPERT folders without anything inside of them will mess HFSLIP up. What do you mean the part is rem'ed out? Are you saying you changed the HFSLIP script around a bit?
  8. *bump* (didn't really have much effect; this is now five threads down again)
  9. Great! What was the difference though? And what is the PNF file for?
  10. No, I meant the old releases. Sorry if I caused any confusion.
  11. Yes, I get that error every time I run it .
  12. I am pretty sure tjabocom only had UltraEdit open this time around. He says that right after he presses a key to exit the script (when it is done running), the DOSNET.INF is destroyed.
  13. The problems you mentioned, ThunderM, that have to do with IE6 did not happen to me when I tried HFSLIP (60317) with my Win2K installation. It is probably a problem on your part, not on HFSLIP's.
  14. Will anything be different if I slipstream it but don't install IE7?
  15. http://support.microsoft.com/kb/904942 Does this update apply to Windows XP Professional when IE6 is installed? I'm thinking not, but WU is always putting it in the "Optional software updates" section even when I don't have IE7 installed.
  16. Tomcat: Any luck with the WMP confusion (full slipstream)?
  17. Well, at least IE7 boasts an uninstaller. Of course, this is only with the betas and previews. When it finally comes out, we'll be asking FDV to build a new fileset .
  18. Kiki, regarding your setup.exe and autorun.inf question: If you want those in your ISO, copy them along with I386 and the ident files (i.e. WIN51, etc.) to SOURCE. By the way, your CAB files might be better in HFAAO as they are "addon" packs. I'm not sure about that, but if you have questions, please ask Tomcat.
  19. @dziubek, The current test release has a few problems that have not been ironed-out yet. Please test it with 60317, the most recent final release. The MPDIR1.txt is left over from an earlier version of the WMP script section and is useless. Tomcat forgot to remove the line that creates the file.
  20. MPDIR1.TXT is just a temporary file created/used by HFSLIP while it was running. Tomcat must have forgotten to have the script delete it. You can safely get rid of it. Tomcat76: Please fix this! There used to be problems with putting MP10Setup.exe in HFSVPK_SW, but I had tommyp fix all of them. What exactly did the error message say (sorry, but I can't read French )? KB911565 will not install with MP10Setup.exe in the SVCPACK folder as it will be processed by setup before WMP10 is even installed (I believe this is still the case with 60321b as it is with 60317 and earlier). Why do you have this is your HF folder if you are not installing Media Center Edition?
  21. That someone was me actually . After you *apologized*, I thought that FDV had seen my message. But the links were never changed (until now). When I posted that original message in the other thread, browsing to the links on your old server would turn up an error message (page not found). Now I see you have the redirect link on the page. Maybe you should have the pages redirect automatically to the new links. That way, it'll be easier. FDV only has two links to your update pages - one on the XP/2003 page (for XP only; he has Bilou's link for 2003) and one on the 2000 page. -- Super-Magician
  22. @FDV, You could do the same to the link on your 2K SP5 page. http://users.telenet.be/tc76/winup/_win2k.html But, thanks for updating the link on your XP page. @Tomcat76, Does it matter that I put 'START /WAIT' at the beginning of the main line in my script? I won't be able to test my 2003 install with the modded CMD until maybe Thursday.
  23. Great! But I think I'll wait until EmRoD tests it.
  24. You mean try installing with the full path in the CMD? OK, will report back.
  25. What did you change to make it a 'full slipstream'? Does it have anything to do with KB911565's not being slipstreamed when WMP10 is integrated in HFSVPK_SW?
