  1. I noticed you made quite a few cosmetic changes in the latest test release (60428a), especially to the titles . Can you possibly implement the following changes, too? 1. Call up CMDOW (if it exists) to hide the extra command prompt window when extracting MP10Setup.exe, scripten.exe, wmfdist95.exe, etc. 2. When HFSLIP extracts the extra DX9 updates, the title bar still says "Processing MSXML," which it does before running through the D3DX9 files. -- Super-Magician
  2. It works without that line!
  3. That screenshot looks very nice! I wonder where the code is. Looks much like the Windows Setup autorun screens.
  4. Sure, I will get on that and get back to you tomorrow (my time). Edit: Actually, I will report back in half an hour .
  5. With 60427b, all critical and optional hotfixes listed on [your] update page for XP install correctly, including KB905474 (WGA Notifications) and UPHClean. Thanks, Tomcat! Question - Can you put a link to KB905474 on your update page as it is listed on WU/MU as a critical update? And, is KB905474 only for XP? (The link the_guy gave on another topic was for the XP version) [attachment removed]
  6. Mizpah, are you trying to install Acrobat or the free Adobe Reader program? There is a silent install file on RyanVM's home page (http://www.ryanvm.net/msfn) already packaged for the reader. If you are trying to package an Acrobat install, you could probably also get support on RyanVM's forums.
  7. The WGA Notifications program is under KB905474. Regular WGA is under KB892130.
  8. Two new updates have been released outside Microsoft's normal update schedule (i.e. Patch Tuesday). The two updates are KB900485-v2 and KB905474. The latter, KB905474, is Microsoft's new Windows Genuine Advantage Notifications program. These updates are available through Windows Update and Microsoft Update, among others. KB905474, however, is not available from the Download Center. Question: Are these two updates supported by HFSLIP?
  9. 1.5 GB -> 10 MB??? Wow... Are you sure? That doesn't seem possible. Unless the games were all "text"-based.
  10. (1) WGA Notification is being activated in the US and other countries tomorrow. Will this be a new LCC or just another thing that will be installed? (2) A new program called Microsoft Office Genuine Advantage (OGA) will begin in the pilot phase this week in select languages (not including English). (3) Microsoft is planning to rerelease MS06-015 for those affected by the issues. Will this mean we have to redownload it? Edits: Added (2) and (3).
  11. tommyp: Camarade_Tux can't create a new iso.
  12. I did not use test release 60423e. I used 60423d.
  13. It looks to me as if Microsoft released a newer version of the Update Rollup for 2K. I installed it using WU on a system yesterday morning, only to have WU install it again later in the afternoon. Today, using an HFSLIP install that I just created, WU once again wants to reinstall the Update Rollup. Could this be a problem on my side or on HFSLIP's part?
  14. Any luck on getting ready the next beta, or any thought on when you'll release it? Thanks .
  15. Guess you double-posted, DmitryKo . I have also seen a folder \IA64 for x64 installations. Has anyone else heard of it?
  16. Is it possible to use an HFSLIP'ed CD to upgrade/repair a machine? I seem to have problems upgrading. Setup goes through txtmode fine. When it reaches the first part of guimode, it asks me to insert my "Service Pack 4 CD". If I cancel this message, Setup gives me an error; it tries to find NT5INF.CAT in I386. In the setuperr.log file, Setup also says that the signature for Windows 2000 Professional Upgrade is invalid. Please note that by 'upgrading' I do not mean that I ran winnt32.exe or launched the install from Windows. I booted the disc and selected 'r' after it detected my Windows 2000 installation. I do not remember having this error with upgrading an XP installation using an HFSLIP'ed disc. Edits: Attached HFSLIP.LOG. Added note. Removed attachment (04/24/06).
  17. I believe MP10Setup.exe requires Windows Installer 3.1. Put this file in HF, and everything will probably be fine. I would recommend that you slipstream all the security updates too, including updates for WMP. You can find a full list here, courtesy of Tomcat76 .
  18. Some information, namely the error reporting section, in the first post need to be updated .
  19. Thanks for letting me know, Tomcat, and thanks for my adding my name to the Thanks list! JW, what did I do to deserve this recognition? (minor edit, nothing added/deleted)
  20. Camarade_Tux: Did you run Windows Update on the installed system? Please report which hotfixes WU says aren't installed. Also, can you try installing without running nLite? dziubek: With DOS, it is not possible to calculate the time it took for HFSLIP to run with DOS, nor is it possible to calculate the percentage of increase/decrease for two folders.
  21. Don't you mean the_guy?
  22. I see, lek! All Tomcat needs to do is add the /I switch to those IF commands and everything should be fine .
  23. Is our final just about due yet? I'd like to see it by 6 pm EDT (I believe 11 PM your time) if possible as I'm going to be elsewhere after that. Don't rush though
  24. No, MDAC_TYP.EXE goes in the HF folder. Maybe now it'll work . Tomcat: Seems we posted at nearly the same time .
