with nlite and xp/2003 the same thing happens. Indexing is removed but the box is still checked. i dont know why.

just a minor request: server 2003 needs more nliteing! for example: *Disabling Internet Explorer Enhanced Security *Removal of the Time Service *Removal of server-related services (Interstate Messaging and Kerberos Key... perhaps) *Enabling Display and Sound acceleration (would this tweak even be possible?) and for nLite in general *the tweak section need fixing (Some tweaks dont get applied and some I didnt select do get applied) *Tweak for Memory usage (similar to Processor scheduling)

Ive read that it makes shutdown a bit slower, but would its effects be worse on shutdown speed from Safe Mode? once i decided to time a reboot from Safe Mode, and it took about 5 minutes. Rebooting from normal Windows certainly does not take that long.

is it bad if i dont? im using the integrated nic and sound.

its a small utility that allows non-administrators to burn CD/DVDs.

nlite already supports Windows Server 2003.

i dont have a digital camera, but the text is a bit high on bootscreen and its also moved slightly to the left.

why does the picture of the boot screen (in the first post) have no text but mine does?

small comment on the boot screen: the text "Server Family" is oddly positioned. it doesnt look right. also why was that text chosen? it could be installed on xp.

i use rado354's notepad++ addon alongside T D's notepad++ replacer addon. it does replace the original notepad.exe and it works great

to replace the missing wmp codecs, use wmlite. the k-lite codec pack provide other codecs but not rele the wmp ones.

CCleaner and Ace Utilities/System Tuneup are both good

Does Vista include drivers for the chipset and do they work (audio/network mainly)? If not, do the XP drivers work? Any feedback in general would be appreciated.

Well ive installed it and it looks great for next version, could u can add a dark boot screen. @kiki, yes u install xpize first then darkside.

I look foward to trying XPize Darkside. I appreciate teh great work. Also LinkScanner blocks the first mirror and the second mirror is 404 (for Darkside download).

the component u want to remove is called OOBE (Out of Box Experience). nLite can remove it, just look for it.

for me the compressing/building part takes the longest.

see here for a WMP11 addon. and a directx addon can be found here. just integrate the addons (either 7z or cab archive) as hotfixes. for IE7, u can just integrate the exe. id install RyanVM's update pack first then the addons.
