  1. Crow............now I'll have a bite of crow, I just got an email from Plextor stating, "We are sending you a replacement for your 708a, because it was out of warranty the replacement also will be without warranty". Yum, crow, and thanks to Plextor!! BD
  2. Never mind, went and upgraded to Sony DVD, DRU-710, now it's sweet....... Burns cdrw's no problem............at 24X....... BD
  3. Man this is the pits, an I\O Magic idvd16dd, dvd burner, on sale with rebate for $59.99. I had just fried my Plextor 708a, (7weeks out of warranty and Plextor said p***off) so I could not refuse this deal. This non-Magic burner has not burnt one cdrw that was able to install XP. I've had error, 8004020e, sometimes no errors and still did not complete XP. Three kinds of media, CDRW. My old sony cdx230 has burnt the same ISO on the same machine and it installed perfect every time! By the way thats, 11 cdrw's burnt, using nero, iso recorder, and isomagic. Unless someone has words of wisdom, back to the store for refund or exchange........... BD
  4. [GuiRunOnce] %systemdrive%\install\wpi.cmd and I've had no further problems with popup, wpi is on CD. BD
  5. Ah, now that one is in, lets see are you using the latest ver.? EDIT I think color is in CSS in the side section, changes all the left side text color?? Or are you changing the textbox and the text in it for exit, if so that in style 0 in useroptions............
  6. I think you'll find it in lang.js
  7. @ a06lp well I was calling wpi from runonceex, via the cmdlines. My guess is once runonceex was called and wpi called it again when it started, that original call from cmdlines was having a runtime problem, or XP was thinking it was in a loop? Once I stopped that method and went to cmd file from systemdrive\install\wpi.cmd, all that stopped......... And wpi.cmd calls it from CD. I don't know for sure, it just works for me........ BD
  8. this has been covered, please search and read. Hint, if you are calling wpi.cmd from runonceex via cmdlines, don't............... BD
  9. @Asta you got it work with the "ECHO" still in the code, man would not work for me?? BD
  10. why was one of my threads closed and I was told it was pointless and another thread removed when I appologized for it????? what is going on around here???????????? BD
  11. Oh ya, works great from CD now............. thanks BD
  12. cool beans, I'll try this..........
  13. WOW, got it working PERFECT.......just not from cd, had to move from cd to $oem$\$1\install\wpi I was using cmdlines to call RunOnceEx and using it to call WPI, that is a no no for me, causes the IE is running slow, and will mess up nLite.inf............ can not make it work from cd here;
  14. re: the waits MS Office 2k extracts then needs to install but RunOnce starts to move to the next program unless I stop it with wait........ Not installing when errors occur. ATI drivers like a little time between them, also not installing during this test..... BD
  15. here ya go.........
  16. the thrid one is "Windows can not find nlite.inf" I talked to Nuhi and he wants to know if WPI resets RunOnceEx now? Seems nLite uses it for it's inf file.........this pops up just after WPI is finished......
  17. Here's the second.......
  18. Guess not.... check out the errors........
  19. Ok, is this going to work? I have wpi335 on the cd at software\wpi and wpi.cmd at $oem$\$1\install\wpi.cmd thanks for lookin' BD EDIT Oh yes, does that _________next_________at the bottom stay there all the time?
  20. your skript should work for what? 3.2.4 or 3.3.4 or both?
  21. @ hasi themes are fun, but I haven't seen anyone make one but you..... Perhaps a tutorial or something like that, then again I'm happy changing the background pic and some colored fonts? Who knows? Your time spent on this does not go unnoticed....thanks BD
  22. Now if someone could go into detail (Dennise) about how to use autorun and ohter methods, like I use cmdlines, call RunOnceEX then it calls hta. And I think that is my problem with script error for length of time. I think WPI should call RunOex... But please go into detail, if you have time......... thanks BD
  23. just a step farther, could someone list and show the various methods of calling WPI......
