  1. What exactly is Vs? EDIT: I see now what you mean... In 99% of the times this is related to malware being installed on the machine. Run a full security scan on your machine and report back with your findings.

  8. Get your hands on a clean Vista DVD, and install with the key on your friend's laptop. If it doesn't activate over the internet, give Microsoft a call and they will activate it.

  16. In RAID, a partition is created on BOTH drives, therefore it will do whatever job you ask on both.

  19. Looks like you are having issues with explorer.exe being infected. Run a full malware scan on your pc (Spybot Search&Destroy, AdAware, HiJackThis and a good anti-virus).

  24. Try the following: 1. Share a folder on the desktop PC. 2. Map the share on the laptop. When creating the map you are giving the choice to log to the remote machine with different credentials (username and password). Then come back here and tell us if it worked. Good luck!
