1. Happy birthday...
2. Thanks for sharing Comes in handy, along wireshark.
3. We understand your frustration, but please try to refrain from using offensive language in the forums. You failed to mention what architecture you are using (32 or 64-bit). And the reason you don't find drivers is NOT vista`s fault, but the manufacturer's! Also, if you searched Asus' website, you would have find the drivers. I did, but their website doesn't allow me to copy the address straight to the download. If it's of any help, here's a link to start you off: http://support.asus.com/download/download.aspx. Good luck!
4. nitroshift ---> nitropuppy don't ask thanks xper EDIT: A HUGE thanks from me & my girl.
5. The answer lies here: meaning that the hard-disk is approaching its death. At this point I would take it out, slave to a pc and save any data you want to preserve. Good luck!
6. Solitaire and Minesweeper as I don't really have time for anything else...
7. You might find Teamviewer or Logmein easier and faster too.
8. Thanks! I owe you a coffee
9. Which contacts should i solder in the JTAG port?
10. I am handy with electronics (it was my hobby before pc's came around). Which one is the JTAG port? The router does NOT start at all and no connection can be made to it.
11. I went through updating the original software but power went off during update process and now the router is unusable. The power LED is blinking, but not even the reset button works Any way I can revive it? It's urgent. Thanks. nitroshift
12. I've never seen drivers displaying the issue above. Definitely a hardware problem. Is the laptop still under warranty? If yes, send it back for repairs / replacement.
13. A spec of your machine would help...
14. Do women breasts count?
15. Have you vLite'd your initial installation?
16. Use Microsoft's own Product Key Update Tool. I've used it many times and never failed. Just make sure you are being connected to the internet whilst running it. Good luck!

There are generally three causes for a corruption: 1) A driver has inadvertently or deliberately modified critical kernel code or data. See http://www.microsoft.com/whdc/driver/kernel/64bitPatching.mspx 2) A developer attempted to set a normal kernel breakpoint using a kernel debugger that was not attached when the system was booted. Normal breakpoints, "bp", can only be set if the debugger is attached at boot time. Hardware breakpoints, "ba", can be set at any time. 3) A hardware corruption occurred, e.g. failing RAM holding kernel code or data. 18. I'm using the case in attachment (Raidmax Ninja Black). Not worried about airflow since i'm using watercooling, nor about optical media, my DVD-RW drive is only used for installation purposes, I don't think it wrote more than 10 disks in ~1 year since I got it...

Women

Found this while surfing the internet: "One evening last week, my girlfriend and I were getting into bed. Well, the passion starts to heat up, and she eventually says, 'I don't feel like it, I just want you to hold me.' I said, 'WHAT??!! What was that?!' So she says the words that every boyfriend on the planet dreads to hear... 'You're just not in touch with my emotional needs as a woman enough for me to satisfy your physical needs as a man.' She responded to my puzzled look by saying, 'Can't you just love me for who I am and not what I do for you in the bedroom?' Realizing that nothing was going to happen that night, I went to sleep. The very next day I opted to take the day off of work to spend time with her. We went out to a nice lunch and then went shopping at a big, big unnamed department store. I walked around with her while she tried on several different very expensive outfits. She couldn't decide which one to take, so I told her we'd just buy them all. She wanted new shoes to compliment her new clothes, so I said, 'Lets get a pair for each outfit.' We went on to the jewellery department where she picked out a pair of diamond earrings. Let me tell you... She was so excited. She must have thought I was one wave short of a shipwreck. I started to think she was testing me because she asked for a tennis bracelet when she doesn't even know how to play tennis. I think I threw her for a loop when I said, 'That's fine, honey.' She was almost nearing sexual satisfaction from all of the excitement. Smiling with excited anticipation, she finally said, 'I think this is all Dear, let's go to the cashier.' I could hardly contain myself when I blurted out, 'No honey, I don't feel like it.' Her face just went completely blank as her jaw dropped with a baffled, 'WHAT?' I then said, 'Honey! I just want you to HOLD this stuff for a while. You're just not in touch with my financial needs as a man enough for me to satisfy your shopping needs as a woman.' And just when she had this look like she was going to kill me, I added, 'Why can't you just love me for who I am and not for the things I buy you?' Apparently I'm not having sex tonight either....but at least that ***** knows I'm smarter than her."
20. You`re better off with a fresh install. After installing SP2, run compcln in an elevated command prompt do delete the SP1 files that will be left. Good luck!
21. The link seems ok. Try downloading it again.
22. v113 means that you have a beta version of the SP2 and that's why you have a watermark on your desktop. Download the final release of the SP2 and you'll be fine.
23. Since it's about websites, I'd start by checking the IE history...
24. From what I see, there is NO reason on earth to use vLite to remove only a few things... What happens if you install a clean SP1 Vista then run SP2 installer?
